Season-at-a-Glance

Dear fr iends,The Boulder Philharmonic’s 53rd season, Bravo Boulder, celebrates the spirit of adventure and creativity that makes Boulder so unique. Along with masterworks by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Copland, Rachmaninoff and Dvořák, you’ll make exciting discoveries of composers and performers with special connections to our great community. Each concert invites you to engage in a deep and meaningful musical experience that touches both the heart and mind.

We’re excited to present the visually stunning Cirque de la Symphonie, as well as our ever-popular Nutcracker with the Boulder Ballet. We’re also pleased to expand our relationship with the Arvada Center with two summer concerts at their spectacular outdoor amphitheater.

Our commitment to young audiences continues with our annual “Discovery Concerts” for fourth and fifth-grade students in the Boulder Valley School District, and our public library series of chamber music concerts for families.

From Richard Stoltzman and David Korevaar to the Colorado Saxophone Quartet, James Westwater and the Ars Nova Singers, we’ll be joined by world-class collaborators who will have you shouting, “Bravo!” Join us for a great 2010-2011 season at Macky. Enjoy!

The world will little note nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us, the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfi nished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us...that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion... ~The Gettysburg Address, Abraham Lincoln
