A RESOLUTION UTILIZING THE SEVENTY PERCENT (70%) OF THE CALAMITY FUND OFTHE LGU FOR CY 2010 FOR THE ACQUISmON AND PURHASE OF DISASTERPREPAREDNESS SUPPLIES ANDEQUlPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION EIGHTHUNDREDmOUSAND PESOS

WHEREAS, the LGU of Talibon, Bohol has a Four Million Pesos (P4,000,000.00) of CalamiFund for the CY 2010;

WHEREAS, with the enactment of the new law on disaster which provides that in the absence ofcalamity within the budget year, thirty percent (30%) of the amount allocated for as calamity fund shall gto the trust fund and the seventy percent (70%) can be utilized to purchase supplies and equiP.ment fiIdisaster mitigation and preparedness;

WHEREAS, the LGU has a Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Pesos (P2,800,000.00) whicis the seventy percent (70%) of its total allocation for the CY 2010 for calamity fund;

WHEREAS, in God's grace that there will be no calamity and disaster in the current year 2010,the LGU will utilize the above-mentioned amount to purchase and acquire supplies and equipmentnecessary in times of calamities and disasters so as not to be caught off guard, unprepared and helpless ifever these trying times would come;

WHEREAS, the supplies and equipments to be procured with its corresponding acquisition costshall be the following, to wit:

1. Protection Equipment:Mun. Epedioneologic & Surveillance Unit (MESU)

2. Motorcycle (Honda)3. Chain saws (STIHL) 2 units4. Stick Truck5. Dump truck with boom6. Sea Ambulance (Pumpboat)

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished to Hon. Restituto B. Auxtero,Municipal Mayor, the Provincial Budget Office, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol, MunicipalPlanning and Development Officer, Budget Officer, the Municipal Accountant and the Municipal Treasurerfor their information and appropriate action.
