    HISTORY

    Android is a mobile operatingsystem developed

    byGoogle in 2005 and is based upon a modified

    version oftheLinux kernel.

    It wasinitially developed by Android Inc. (a firm

    purchased by Google) and later positioned in the

    Open Handset Alliance.
