OurMissionWe inspire people to make

charitable gifts that improve the

quality of life in Elkhart County. As a

public, tax-exempt, philanthropic

organization, created in 1989 by and for

all the people of the county, we solicit and

develop endowment funds and distribute

income from them for the benefit of

our community.

We do so with enthusiasm, dedication

and sincere passion, because the ECCF

is the philanthropic catalyst for

making positive change possible

for adults and children in Elkhart County.

Individual gifts made through, not to, the

ECCF build a permanent sum of monies

with the interest from that sum – in the

form of community grants – allowing us

to respond to current, ongoing and

emerging community needs.

Of the words that reflect what makes the ECCF noteworthy, there are three that are particularly significant: Mission, endowment and permanency.

On page 4 is our organization’s missionstatement. We refer to the endowmentfunds whose collective interest allow us toprovide proactive grants to agencies that,in turn, improve the quality of life foradults and children who so greatly –and sometimes urgently – need our help.

The third, permanency, is key to our success. It is our consistency ofpurpose, tied to two decades of making positive change for ourcounty a reality, that ensures our continued longevity. That’s why we say: For good. For ever.®

Right here.
