Gloriana to perform Aug. 11 at fairPOINT PLEASANT — Music group, Gloriana, will take to the main stage of the

Mason County Fairground on Wednesday, Aug. 11.The group, which plays country music focusing on four part harmonies, will per-

form at 9 p.m. According to Brian Billings, chairman of the fair entertainmentcommittee, Gloriana is continuing to grow in popularity.

“Gloriana is one of the hottest acts in country music — this group will impressall fairgoers,” Billings said.

Members of Gloriana include Tom Gossin, Mike Gossin, Rachel Reinert andCheyenne Kimball. According to the band’s bio, Gloriana has been winning sup-porters at all levels, including Grammy-winning producer/label executive, MattSerletic, and premiere Nashville songwriter, Jeffery Steele. Gloriana began theirmusical career in the winter of 2007 when brother Tom and Mike, who had recent-ly moved to Nashville from North Carolina, discovered Reinert through herMySpace page.

“We had never combined our duo with a female voice before,” Mike Gossin said.“But singing with her was awesome. It gave us that high harmony and the soundwas amazing.”

Kimball later saw the band perform at a top Nashville club and fell in love withtheir sound. Following their show, Kimball asked if she could “jam” with thegroup, and the rest is history.

“The three of us definitely felt we had something special,” Reinert said, “Butwhen Cheyenne came into the picture, it was really complete. The four-part har-mony felt right and the sound was spectacular.”

From that point on the band worked for six months on getting their sons and livesound together. They later sent a demo to Emblem Music Group, the new labelfounded by Matt Serletic, who is known for his work with Willie Nelson andMatchbox Twenty.

“The first time I heard Gloriana I was blown away,” Serletic said. “I’ve neverheard four distinctive, powerful singers combine to create such a unique, freshsound. These talented young musicians were meant to make music together.”

After months of hard work, the band released their self-titled album, mixed byJustin Niebank at John and Martina McBride’s Blackbird Studios. The song selec-tions vary from “The Way It Goes” and “How Far Do You Wanna Go,” which dis-play the harmonies, energy and big sound hat make the group so exciting on stage,to “Lead Me On” and “All The Things” (That Mean the Most),” songs whose pas-sion and intimacy are undeniable.
