www.atlasinfo.nl
Why participate in national Atlas?
• We only show our provincial information • Data about the environment come from a lot of partners.• Citizens go to their local government first• Atlas uses modern open source technology• Efficient to work together• Harmonisation• •
Innovation Power City Triangle
• The project regional atlas city triangle is a pilot project in the national programme “atlas of the living environment
• Data of two provinces and 7 municipalities are assembled, using the national atlas open source toolkit
Structure of the regional Atlas
► Every municipality has to publish its own GIS-data (‘data at the source’)
► Municipalities have the choice to use commenrcial software or open source software to publish their GIS-data.
► For the municipalities and provinces that want to connect with the national environmental Atlas a toolkit has been developed.
► This toolkit contains free open source software so WMS, WFS and CSW be published (Geoserver) and maps can be presented on websites (Flamingo).
► The toolkit also contains a manual and there will be support (helpdesk).
