東京駅 (Tokyo Station)
One of the nice things of a short trip to Tokyo is to
have the chance to meet Andreas Schneider. I had
the great honor to work with him when I was theresome ten years ago. He is always busy with new
things, projects, inventions. For instance here you
have a still of the "design factors" wheel. More
about it at: http://www.facebook.
com/media/set/... In the next days I will reporton the work he did refurbishing his house (a quite
stunning achievement).
Schneider is always busy
doing nice things.

有楽町 Yurakucho
Another interesting stop while exploring Tokyo, it
was the main Muji store in Yurakucho. I was very
curious to get there because I knew there is one
Muji house to see. Went there, saw the house, got
inside. Not really impressive. Not bad, but out of
Muji you would expect something truly special. Of
course if you ask Kengo Kuma to design it, most
likely you won't reach any relevant result... Boop.
Anyway, here is the link where you can get to see
more: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/...
I also went to visit a Muji
house. Not so bad, but also,
not so good...

I didn't like so much this Metabolist exhibition, but
I have to say that there were several excellent
projects I never seen before. Like this one bySeiichi Shirai, a proposal for a Temple of Atomic
Catastrophe (1955). More on this at: http://www.

The best thing in the Metabolist exhibition were
those cardboard stools by Riki Watanabe. Simple,
nice, perfectly working. More about Watanabethings at: http://www.facebook.

上野恩賜公園
I have to admit I really like Le Corbusier. Every
time I have the chance to get in one of his building
is always a special emotion. The Western ArtMuseum in Tokyo, it makes no exception. It was
built 50 years ago, but the more it grows older the
better it becomes. Like it was some fancy French
wine.

Schneider's House
Now in Bangkok, reorganizing thoughts, ideas,
folders and the like.
Going through the images taken in Tokyo in
December. One of the nicest things we did there
was to spend a whole afternoon with Alessandro
Scandurra at Andreas' house.
He found this old house nearby the Sumida river
and he did a whole refurbishing. The final result is
one of the nicest houses I've seen in Tokyo, ever.
Boooom.
Bravo Andreas, here the link where you can see
more images of the house: http://www.facebook.

Shinjuku-ku, Japan
In a Tokyo trip, you can't miss a stop at the sex
shop. Japaneses are really creative and ingenious.
These Tenga eggs are a fantastic invention (onlyJaps could invent such a thing). As Karl Kraus
famously said: "Intercourse with a woman is
sometimes a satisfactory substitute for
masturbation. But it takes a lot of imagination to
make it work". More about Tenga eggs at: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/...

Chūō, Tokyo
I walk the line...
Isn't she lovely? The blue line I mean... Going
around Tokyo a lot of fashionable gals. The nice
thing of commuting around is that you have a lot
of time to look around and to get your camera at
work. More on fashionable Tokyo at: http://www.
