WhAT A GREAT TIME TO bE A COUGAR! As you can see on pages 2 and 4, the past year has arguably been the most successful period in the history of CSUSM Athletics.

In addition to these athletic achievements, over 43% of CSUSM student-athletes earned a 3.0 or higher GPA. These accomplishments are amazing, especially when considering the limited resources that have been available to our teams. This is truly a testament to the quality of our coaches and student-athletes. Just imagine how successful the athletic program can become when we are able to increase our resources.

This year we are adding men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball to our sports line up. With these additions come a whole new set of amenities for our fans and donors. Please refer to the chart on page 3 to see the various amenity levels. We hope to see you at Cougar athletic events throughout the year.

I invite you to invest in the future of CSUSM athletics by giving to the Cougar Athletic Club (CAC). Contributions to the CAC are the foundation on which our pursuit of academic and athletic excellence are built. I encourage you to give generously, either as an annual gift or as an endowment. Please also consider if your company matches charitable contributions.

On behalf of our student-athletes and coaches, thank you in advance for your support!

Purpose of the Cougar Athletic Club (CAC)

The Cougar Athletic Club (CAC) is the fund raising arm for CSUSM Athletics. Supported by individuals and businesses alike, the CAC provides funds that support program operation and scholarships for more than 300 student-athletes. All 14 Cougar Athletic programs benefit from your tax deductible gift. By donating to CAC, members receive club benefits, which are described on page 3 and help support deserving CSUSM student-athletes. While support for 14 competitive sports programs is a tall order, it is the main reason for the very existence of the CAC.

Brett Campfield Track & Field, Cross-Country, Class of 2011A transfer from Princeton, runner Brett Campfield earned All-American status in a school record in four separate events driving his first year of competition at CSUSM.
