    SAN FRANCISCO USBC ASSOCIATIONSENIOR SINGLES TOURNAMENT RULES (55 Years of Age and Over)

    1. This tournament is open to all bowlers who are current members in good standing ofUSBC and the SanFrancisco USBC. Participants MUST also have an established San Francisco USBC associationaverage of 21 games or more. NO CARDS SOLD ON SITE.

    2. All entrants must be at least 55 years of age at the time of participation in the tournament (date of birth MUSTbe on the entry.) NOTE: Failure to report the correct birth date may result in disqualification.

    3. This tournament will consist of three (3) games.4. The tournament shall be conducted on a handicap basis Singles Event: 90% of 220

    5. Bowlers need not belong to a senior league to be eligible for entry in this tournament.

    6. Entrants may enter only once in the singles event.

    7. The entering average shall be determined by the following priorities:1) Highest certified league average (minimum of 21 games) dated as of APRIL 15, 2011. If none,2) Highest certified league average (minimum of 21 games) dated as of APRIL 15, 2010. If none,3) Highest certified league ending-summer 2010 average (minimum of 21 games)

    NOTE: Any person who has an average in a USBC designated Sports Bowling League must submit his/heradjusted Sport Bowling league average utilizing the USBC Average Adjustment Scale See USBC Rule 202A

    8. No other averages will be accepted. Bowlers are responsible for verifying their own averages. Anyfalsification of the highest known average will result in immediate and final disqualification. If a certified

    sport league average is the bowlers only average, then it will be adjusted per the chart in the USBCRulebook to determine the correct entering average. Rule 319A3 & A4, failure to use the correct averageshall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than correct average thereby resulting in more handicap,will apply. Prize winning will be based on the submitted average if it is higher than the correct average.

    9. USBC Rule 319A-2 (10 pin increase provision) will be waived. Rule 319D (reporting of prize winnings) willapply. Rule 319E (adjusted tournament average) will apply.

    10. Replacements for original entrants may be made providing the replacement meets eligibility and averagerequirements per Rule 7.

    11. All prize money will be returned 100% in prizes. Prize ratio at least one prize for each 8 entries. All prizemoney will be based on total pins plus handicap in each division.

    12. Designated prize funds will be paid within 30 days upon completion of the tournament, except when USBCnationals has authorized delay in payment, pending settlement of any claim or protest which effects position

    standings.13. In the event of first place ties, co-champions will be declared and prize money will be combined and divided

    equally.

    14. Winners in each age classification are eligible to participate in the 2012 California USBC SeniorChampionships. Participation fees will be paid by SFUSBC after bowler provides proof of participation. Thecombined total of 3 games plus handicap will determine the champions. In the event of a tie for first place,each person will be eligible to participate in the State Finals. In the event a winner of any division is unable ordeclines to attend the state tournament, the second, third or fourth place finisher from that division (in order offinish) will be eligible to compete.

    15. Bowlers must check in 45 minutes prior to scheduled squad time

    16. Bowlers arriving late shall begin play and the score shall count beginning with the frame then being bowled.Missed frames shall be credited with a zero. Frames may not be made-up. Bowlers not present to bowl

    when its their turn will be credited with a zero for that frame.17. In the event a bowler cannot finish his/her series, zero points will be scored for the remaining frames.

    18. This tournament will be certified by USBC.

    19. The tournament director shall be the authority to interpret USBC and tournament rules, policies andprocedures in deciding disputes. lf deemed necessary, the tournament director shall consult with the boardof directors of the San Francisco USBC Association.

    20. An appeal or protest of a decision involving eligibility or playing rules must be filed in writing with thetournament director and the USBC before tournament prizes are paid. The decision of USBC is final andbinding on all involved parties. Any violation of tournament rules is cause for disqualification, loss of entryfee, forfeit of all prize monies and possible suspension from USBC membership.
