2012 LCS Consolidated Annual ReportLUTHERAN COMMUNITY SERVICES, Inc. Sharing Gods Blessings by Helping Others in Need
provides a variety of food,
housing and other programs for
people with low incomes,
mainly in New Castle County, but also in other
areas of the state. Through all of its programs, LCSreached 102,893 people in 2012, which represents a
19% increase over 2011. Homelessness Prevention
Assistance made a modest increase during the year,
going from 1,270 in 2011 to 1,319 in 2012.
Emergency Food Assistance represents the most
significant growth area, increasing from 69,369
incidents of service in 2011 to 86,750 in 2012,
which is a 20% increase.
