We use the most innovative materials and construction methods available to design the proper shapes, flex characteristics, rebound rates, and torsional stability for specific riding conditions and ability levels. By listening to our riders, we can keep building products that perform above and beyond all expectations.

There is no better core material for achieving the best flex performance in a board than full wood. Our wood is local and farmed from sustainable forests, that’s why we call it Columbian Gold. This core has the highest compression response ever used in a kiteboard. We’ve completely eliminated the use of foams and plastics because they breakdown quickly, and lack the more lively performance characteristics of the organic materials we use now.

We’ve transferred the same technology found in high durometer, urethane skateboard wheels into the rail of all our boards. Creating one continuous piece of perfection, our innovative manufacturing process literally infuses the rail into the board cores in one single shot (NO staples, tape, glue or seams). SingleShot improves the overall dampening of the board and increases rail durability beyond any other available material.

This is the latest in high tech organic urethane resins. What Resin-X™ has that epoxy and polyester resins don’t is an exceptional flex memory that can withstand longer flex cycles and superior vibration dampening with increased elongation without failure. All combined, these features store a higher rate of loaded energy, insane durability, and the best UV resistance on the market. Resin X™ is a low-VOC (Volatile Organic Chemicals) resin and the greenest on the market.

We honestly try our best to make products that are easy on our environment, but it has to make sense. That’s the cool part. Our latest boards are extremely environmentally friendly and have substantially enhanced performance because of it. No one has perfected it, but we think we’re getting closer everyday. We use wood from local, sustainable forests. Because our kiteboards are made in the USA we have an incredibly low carbon foot print from forest to factory. Resin X™ is the newest science in resin technology and the greenest available. No airborne solvents are used in the manufacturing process. No plastic top sheet material. We’ve made a commitment to eliminate plastic top skins made from oil. All electricity in our factory is produced by local wind power.

kite surFboard constructionTony and Jeff Logosz were early pioneers in PVC sandwich surf construction as early as the mid 1980’s. Today we use a greener more earth friendly approach by substituting PVC foam for a wood sandwich. We use a complex, proprietary layering system combined with a superior epoxy resin for all of our Surfboards. We start with a super lightweight foam core, and then put on a layer of lightweight glass. We then bond all of this on a more dense layer of wood. The final layer is glass and superior epoxy resin. Along each step of the way we use vacuum bagging techniques to enhance the bonding strength. The final result is a proven lightweight sandwich construction custom board that is more durable than the old PU boards.

When you want to stay on the water and still have fun in 5-6 knots, you have to be light. To save weight we started with a new bladder material that is 25% lighter, reduced the leading edge diameter and introduced a smaller strut size. Efficiency is king, so we completely updated the design geometry. To make it more efficient and faster in light wind we’ve increased the aspect ratio much like on a glider or wind turbine wing. This improves lift through kite speed and allows it to fly further forward in the window.

In the wing tips, we introduced a new concept called Free-Twist Tip Technology. Developed to increase the narrow wind range of large kites, the bridal attachment is positioned to let the wingtips freely pivot to allow the trailing edge leech panel to open and twist when overpowered or stalled. The result is a lighter, faster feel with a wide apparent wind range and quick turning radius for such a large kite.

The Turbine has plenty of low end grunt to get you planing with a competition race board, surfboard, or large twin tip. Once up to speed, the kite stays efficient and in control as the apparent wind ramps higher. The bottom line is this kite increases your riding time and gets you off the beach when there’s not a whitecap in sight.

BOLT–ON 3.0’s are designed to increase comfort, convenience and maximize performance with effortless installation in mind. The “NEW” Velcro locking adjustment strap is uniquely designed to fit directly to the pad’s super structure and mounts directly onto the board for the most complete lock down and non-slip performance. The BOLT-ON 3 is stock with all 2012 Slingshot boards but mounts seamlessly to a traditional insert pack as well.

The Slingshot Joint binding allows you to split the difference. Its sturdy outline and increased support wraps just below your ankle for rock solid support and control similar to a high performance boot, but with the freedom of slip-on conve-nience. Features include a half cab padded collar outline, dual stage neoprene straps, deluxe dual density foam and innova-tive Bolt-On mounting system.
