    Teen StudiosMain Line Art Center also oers teen intensives in drawing andpainting, jewelry and metalwork, ashion design and illustration,printmaking, glassblowing, computer arts, portolio development

    Teaching Artist Assistants NeededWere looking or individuals 15 years and older who shareour enthusiasm or art and are eager or classroom experience.

    Teaching Artist Assistants (TAA) must commit to working 8:45 am-3:30 pm or at least one ull session. TAAs are unpaid, but earn adiscount on tuition based on hours worked. Download an applicationin the About Us section o our website.

    At Summer Art Camp, young artists thrive asthey are immersed in a world o imagination!Each session includes high-quality instructionthrough unique projects designed to harnessthe creativity within every child. Campers explorethe undamentals o drawing, painting, ceramics,sculpture, mixed media and jewelry and metals withproessional Teaching Artists in a un and relaxedenvironment. Camp is broken down into age groupswith low student to teacher ratios to ensure thatprojects challenge and engage campers.

    Each Friday we welcome a Visiting Artist related tothe theme to enhance learning. The week concludeswith a celebration and a gallery exhibition o camperartwork or riends and amily. Young artists leave ourcamp with new skills in collaboration, critical thinking,problem solving and sel-expression. At Main Line ArtCenter, children develop a oundation or learning and

    a passion or the arts that they can build on or therest o their lives.

    About the ThemeTheres no need to travel ar and wideto learn about art! Passports arentrequired when you learn to see theart all around us in our community.

    Each week takes on a new theme,so campers can build their skillsover multiple sessions withoutrepeating projects. From park side,to countryside, the mountains to

    the urban jungle, the possibilitiesare endless or creative inspiration!

    B June 25-29: The Great OutdoorsThe PA landscape is as varied as the artiststhat were inspired by it! Create sh prints, ceramic animal shakers, tissue paper riverscenes and other works o art that capture the beauty o Mother Nature.

    C July 2-July 6 (4 days, no July 4): Home is Where the Art is Housescome in all shapes and sizes, and we explore them all this week. Design homes o theuture, imagine underwater lairs, and build entire neighborhoods limited only by

    your creativity.

    D July 9-13: Philly Food: From Cheesesteaks to TastykakesOn themenu this week: Tasty projects you can sink your teeth into! Youre the Master Che as

    you concoct masterpieces inspired by ood.

    E July 16-20: On the Line: Philadelphias SuburbsHitch a ride romPhiladelphia to Lancaster, PA and gather artistic inspiration along the way. Designa colorul train car to ride the rails or ashion a uturistic automobile out o clay.

    F July 23-27: Sports & RecreationWhen arts and sports intersect, everyonewins! Commemorate your avorite sport or athlete with a painting, create a medal tor a champion or build your very own action gure. Game on!

    G July 30-August 3: The Art of PlayDesign the playground o your dreamsor the next it toy. Dazzle your riends and amily by creating a board game thatwill knock their socks o.

    H August 6-10: The City of Brotherly LoveTip your hat to William Penn!Build scenic city-scapes, create portraits o amous Philadelphians and bring

    history to lie with your visual creations.I August 13-17: Birds Eye View: Native Wildlife & Plants Stretch yourartistic wings! Build birdhouses using ound objects, plant a garden o fowers

    and veggies made o elt, cardboard or clay, or make your own woodlandcreature this wild week!

    J August 20-24: Celebrate Arts & Culture Philadelphiaa cultural hot spot? You betcha! From mural-making to recreatingamous paintings at the Barnes, and ound object sculptures at thePlease Touch, were crazy or arts and culture!

    KAugust 27-31: Zoo-a-palooza!Bring out your inner artanimal! Make a larger than lie zoo mural, create unique reptilehouse prints, and let the patterns and textures o animals inspire

    you to create masterpieces that youre truly wild about!

    Back by popular demand, the Art Center is continuing special Pre-Teen Studios. Campers select a morning and/or ateintensive where they will have more time to ocus on a single medium and hone their skills while working cl osely with aTeaching Artist. Each session eatures new projects so young artists can continue their artistic studies. Lunch care is incampers registered or both morning and aternoon Pre-Teen Studios. Hal-day campers in need o lunch care should radvance.
