Celebrating its ninth year, the Tavistock Cup pits the golf professional members of

Albany, Isleworth, Lake Nona, and Queenwood against one another to determine

who will be crowned World Golf and Country Club Champion.

Each year, members and invited guests walk the fairways and cheer on their team

as contestants compete for prize money along with coveted team Par 3 hole-in-one

prizes, including cars, boats, elegant timepieces and private air travel.

Through 2011, the members of these four global clubs have won a combined total of

more than 860 worldwide victories, including 62 major championships.

2

In the spirit of Tavistock Cup competition, we have created an official dress code for the tournament; spectators are encouraged to wear either ALBANY PINK to show their support for TEAM ALBANY, ISLEWORTH RED to show their support for TEAM ISLEWORTH, LAKE NONA BLUE to show their support for TEAM LAKE NONA or QUEENWOOD GREEN to show their support for TEAM QUEENWOOD.

Page 4: 2012 Tavistock Cup Spectator Guide

Welcome to the 2012 Tavistock Cup, the World Golf and Country Club

Championship. Each year, this officially sanctioned PGA Tour event brings

together the touring professional members of the finest golf and country clubs

in a team competition recognized as golf’s ultimate global showdown.

A locker room conversation between a handful of Isleworth and Lake Nona’s

professional golfers about who might win in a friendly interclub match were

the playful beginnings the Tavistock Cup was built upon.

Nine years later, the Tavistock Cup features four international teams and the

greatest players in the game, making this event among the most spirited and

distinctive sporting events in the world. The four-way competition between

Albany, Isleworth, Lake Nona and Queenwood returns to Lake Nona Golf &

Country Club, where the inaugural matches were held in 2004.

Since the beginning, the Tavistock Cup’s traditions, surroundings and format

have made the event both a player and fan favorite, and that continues today.

In the spirit of Tavistock Cup competition, spectators wear the official team

colors of their respective club to show support for their home team.

Among the tournament’s most moving traditions is the Payne Stewart Salver

Award, given each year in memory of the former Isleworth member and late

champion golfer Payne Stewart to the Tavistock Cup player with the lowest

score in the final round of the singles matches during Round 2.

The Tavistock Cup is also known for its charitable giving. Through the

commitment and generosity of Tavistock Cup’s patrons and sponsors and the

Tavistock Foundation, millions of dollars have been donated to local, national

and international charities.

We extend our appreciation to Tavistock Cup’s contestants, sponsors,

volunteers, spectators and staff. Thanks for joining us for the 2012 Tavistock

Cup. We hope you enjoy two days of extraordinary golf and the world-class

amenities Lake Nona has to offer.

Set amidst pristine freshwater lakes and a canopy of tall oaks, pines and native

cypress trees, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club is a 600-acre golf community

that forms a cornerstone to the large and growing Lake Nona Medical City.

Albany, a new luxury resort community in The Bahamas, is the collective vision

of its developers Tavistock Group, Tiger Woods and Ernie Els. Positioned along

600 oceanfront acres on one of New Providence’s most beautiful beaches,

Albany features an array of amenities for the entire family.

One of the most celebrated golf communities in the world, Isleworth commands 600

acres set on sprawling freshwater lakes dappled with grand oak and cypress trees.

Isleworth’s natural setting lends the perfect backdrop for its one-of-a-kind collection

of monumental sculptures.

The 2012 Tavistock Cup returns to its roots at Lake Nona Golf & Country

Club, where the inaugural matches were held in 2004.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club set new

standards for golf communities when it opened in 1987. Lake Nona Golf &

Country Club was fashioned on a 600-acre parcel of land in a remote area of

southeast Orlando blanketed by towering oaks, pines and native cypress trees

and surrounded by 1,000 acres of sparkling freshwater lakes.

Once deemed too rural for residential development, the area offered an ideal

landscape for an 18-hole golf course. Considered by many as one of Tom

Fazio’s best early designs, Lake Nona was carefully routed through its natural

surroundings to ensure the golf course was given top priority.

Since 2004, the world-ranked golf course has been a regular host of the PGA

Tour-sanctioned Tavistock Cup. Today it is also recognized as one of the most

inviting communities in the world offering a wealth of amenities that includes

an outstanding fitness center, formal dining and casual dining options,

exceptional programming for children, a well-appointed golf shop and an

18-room guest lodge.

In addition to its deep traditions of golf, Lake Nona Golf & Country

Club’s surrounding lakes provide excellent freshwater fishing and boating

opportunities. A splendid array of luxury residences, with unparalleled lake

and golf course views, showcase the south’s leading custom builders.

But Lake Nona Golf & Country Club is more than just a luxury golf community

with a premier golf course; the community is situated in convenient proximity

to one of the world’s best airports and forms a cornerstone to Tavistock

Group’s innovative 7,000-acre mixed-use Lake Nona development that

includes education, medical and recreational facilities.

FSC certification is a voluntary, market-based tool that supports responsible forest

management worldwide. FSC certified forest products are verified from the forest

of origin through the supply chain. The FSC label ensures that the forest products

used are from responsibly harvested and verified sources. This year’s Tavistock Cup

Spectator Guide was printed on FSC-certified forest products from responsibly

harvested forests. This designation emphasizes Tavistock Cup and Lake Nona’s

commitment to being stewards of sustainability.

11

Page 13: 2012 Tavistock Cup Spectator Guide

Planned and built from scratch, Lake Nona is a place where a forward-thinking

framework of sustainable design practices, smart growth features and 21st-century

technology meet quality education, wellness and environmental amenities, diverse

workspaces, dynamic neighborhoods and a biotechnology cluster that will offer some

of the best scientific research, medical training and patient care in the nation.

Much of those elements have arrived or on the immediate horizon for this 7,000-acre

community, making the next 12 months the biggest year in the history of Lake Nona.

The master-planned community’s marquee draw, Lake Nona Medical City celebrates

the opening of three major medical institutions. The University of Florida Research &

Academic Center, Nemours Children’s Hospital and the Orlando VA Medical Center

join the Medical City’s anchor institutions, the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research

Institute and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.

Innovative partnerships and collaborations were critical in developing the initial

infrastructure for Lake Nona. And now the collective impact of Lake Nona’s many

collaborations can be seen working on dozens of fronts - in education, technology,

sustainability, innovation and health and wellness through initiatives like the Lake

Nona Institute and GE’s Ecomagination and Healthymagination programs, products

fostering sustainability and healthy living.

Lake Nona’s newest neighborhood, Laureate Park has been setting new standards for

sustainable design since it opened in the fall. Designed around Lake Nona Medical

City and offering commutes condensed to walks and bike rides, Laureate Park delivers

transitional architectural styles, environmentally friendly building materials and high-

tech energy saving systems not found anywhere in the market.
