President’s Message For all of our members celebrating the Easter Holiday this week, I’d like to wish you all a very happy and healthy Easter! For all of our members celebrating Passover, I’d like to wish you all a Chag Sameach! A couple of quick reminders; On April 19, 2012, our next scheduled Executive Series Briefing and Luncheon “Main Street to Wall Street” will be held at the Fountain Blue Banquets in Des Plaines, Illinois. The program will include Wall Street luminaries who will focus on the transportation industry from a Wall Street perspective. This is a program that should not be missed! Our 105th Annual Dinner is fast ap- proaching. This much anticipated dinner will be held on June 13, 2012 at the lavish Chicago Hilton Hotel & Towers on South Michigan Avenue. Steve Carter, who is responsible for Target Corporation’s Global Logistics, will be the keynote speaker that evening. For those of you coming in from out of town or inviting out of town guests, please note that our room block at the Hilton is filling up fast, so get your reservations as quickly as possible! Also note that our first Golf Outing of the year will be held on June 12, 2012, im- mediately prior to the Annual Dinner. The outing will be held at Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont, Illinois, and once again, we have reserved all four courses that day. Don’t miss this great event. Finally, as I mentioned in last month’s newsletter, we are doing something a bit different this year with respect to the Annual Dinner. Specifically, we are offering the opportunity for you and your customers and suppliers to advertise in the Annual Dinner Program. Half page ads are $500 and full page ads are $750. Ad space is limited and are quickly being snapped up, so be sure to call the club office today! Very truly yours, Myles Tobin Have a Sunny and Enjoyable Spring Season!

March luncheon Program features intermodal overview Our March 15th executive Series luncheon was well attended with over 100 members and guests on hand to hear a presentation by Ronald Sucik, President of RSe Consulting. Mr. Sucik spoke on the current issues affecting the movement of containerized freight into North America, and his presentation was timely, very informative, and was warmly received by those attending. The luncheon, which was held for the first time at Maggiano’s Banquets in downtown Chicago, drew over 100 members and guests that day, which included this year’s scholarship awards recipients. This was the first time a luncheon featured family style service, and we received nothing but positive comments on the quality of the food. For those who were unable to attend the luncheon, Mr. Sucik has made his power point presentation available to anyone who would like to receive it. To do so, please contact the club office and a copy of his presentation will be e-mailed to you.

It doesn’t take much effort and we will even help you there. Below is an application form you can fax to someone you know that’s not currently a member and encourage them to become one. Better yet … just forward them the newsletter

so they can read first hand what the club has to offer. As a fellow club member you already know the many benefits available to you and a brief note from you is all that’s required. That’s all there is to it.

Thanks for your help in making 2012 another successful membership drive year!

There’s no denying the fact that the Chicago Bulls have the best record in the NBA this year. However, you couldn’t tell by the way they played during our March 26th Skybox Night party at the United Center. The Bulls hosted the Denver Nuggets, but their play that night gave the impression they were playing Den-ver in Denver. The final score was Denver 108 , Chicago 91, and was indicative of how bad the Bulls played that night. All that matters is that our members and their guests enjoyed the evening in the elegant surroundings of a Club Level suite. The suite also included a wide assortment of party foods and beverages which certainly helped to top off the evening. Our sin-cere thanks to the CN for making their suite available that night. Pictured are some of our members and guests who attended the game that night.
