Arelle
• Arelle is an open source XBRL platform to process XBRL documents
• It is intended as an API to make handling and accessing XBRL information easier so developers can focus on what they want to do with the information an not on how to parse and extract the information.
• Arelle includes a user interface to open, display, navigate and validation XBRL documents
• Arelle interacts with XBRL information from the SEC – Can open XBRL documents directly from the SEC
– Reads the SEC RSS feed of recent XBRL filings
– Include validations based on the Edgar Filing Manual (EFM)
