IT’S VACATION TIME FOR CHURCH SECRETARY Michelle will be on vacation Monday, September 24-Friday, September 28. Due to this time out of the office, items for the September 30 announcement sheet need to be received no later than 8am on Thursday, Sept 20. Also, there will be no SCRIP sales or SCRIP pickups that week. Orders can be dropped off to be filled the following week. TAKE THE WORN-OUT WOMAN QUIZ Do you run out of energy well before the day is done? Do you worry so much, it distracts you from your goals? You may be a worn-out woman. Come to a study led by a self-proclaimed worn-out woman. Get more information today (Sept 16) in the gym or come to the parlor on September 19 (6-6:30pm), Sept. 20 (8:30-9am) or Sept. 26 (6-6:30pm). A PAIR AND A SPARE CAMPAIGN Our Saviour once again is serving as a collection site for new socks, underwear, long underwear and bras for children and adults. The collection box is near the 2 nd floor coatroom just past the elevator. Please help us collect items which are rarely donated but are very much needed by those less fortunate. Donations of all sizes will be collected from September 1-26. SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS Sunday School begins next week. Stop at the Board of Education table at the Fall Rally today and volunteer. Team teaching allows you to teach every other week. Student registration forms will also be available. Background check forms must be completed by all adult Sunday School volunteers at least once every three years (forms are in the gym at the Fall Rally). CONFIRMATION Is your child ‘Confirmation age’? Our Saviour begins Confirmation classes when students enter the 7 th grade. If you did not receive a new student package, stop at the Board of Education table at the Fall Rally today. Forms for all levels will be there and completed forms can be dropped off. Classes begin Wednesday, September 19 for all levels (Level I - 7 th grade, Level II and Level III). CAN YOU ADOPT-A-BILL? If you can, please ‘Adopt a Bill’. Select an invoice and envelope from the board, make your check payable to OSLC, put it and the invoice in the envelope and place in the offering plate or drop off at the office. In just five weeks, you have donated $3,307.45 (this amount is NOT included in the Unified Budget information provided in the bulletin every week). FALL RALLY TODAY Please join us for a potluck lunch after the service today where you can also learn about the many ways to use your time and talents at Our Saviour. There will be no 10:30am Bible class or 10:45am service. We’ll enjoy great food, fellowship and fun! ARE YOU INSURED? AVAILABLE TODAY ONLY The youth will be conducting a Fla-toilet- mingo (similar to the familiar pink flamingo) fundraiser during the month of October. A commode will be placed on the lawns of church members who must pay a $10 fee to have it removed (no limit to the number of times your lawn may be selected). The next recipient is determined by those who pay the fine. To prevent this from happening to you…buy commode insurance in the gym today and your address will be placed on an exemption list showing that you have already generously donated to our cause. The money raised will benefit youth accounts for the 2013 National Youth Gathering and other upcoming youth events. Two policies will be available: Standard - $20 includes your address placement on the exemption list; and Premium - $25 exempts your address and ADDS the privilege to select an address where the commode is placed. Please consider the youth and your front lawn (and what your neighbors may think) when attending this year's Fall Rally. Don’t delay…it’s only available today! SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY Please watch the Announcement Sheet, weekly calendar information and The Voice regarding the Sunday morning adult Bible study group. Days will vary between ‘The Truth Project’, Adult Confirmation classes and ‘regular’ Bible study. September 23 begins the Adult Confirmation classes for prospective new members in the 9:15am time slot; RSVPs appreciated. DON’T THROW IT AWAY! We are collecting used cell phones, empty pill bottles, aluminum cans, beads, and mfr’s coupons as well as batting and knitting/sewing materials, Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education, Capri Sun pouches, specially marked milk caps, and Coke codes. We also collect non-perishable food for Manna for Life (please no bread, potatoes, etc.). For info, call 468-4065. SUNDAY SCRIP Every purchase is a small donation. Buy Sunday mornings at the Welcome Center or the church office (from 8am-11:45am and 1pm-4:15pm Monday thru Friday). Groceries? Gas? Going out to eat? Gift giving? Taking a trip? Give to church without changing your budget. To learn more, stop by the Welcome Center today or come to the office during regular business hours. If you have a child at Green Bay Trinity, OSL Preschool or in the youth group, ask about our ‘tuition reimbursement’ program. LAMBEAU FIELD AND PACKER GAMES Our Saviour needs volunteers (18 or older) to work this season. Volunteers must attend a training session before working (see office hallway bulletin board for the September schedule). Please contact Neil Burmeister at 866-9088 or call the church office (468- 4065) for more info. Our booth is indoors (Section 427 club seats); we need 21 people per game. Sign-up sheets for all games are at the Welcome Center; sign up now for any future home game. PASS IT ON! As you clean out the kids’ closets for the change of seasons, or decide to empty all the extra toys, books, etc. from their rooms, please consider donating them to Our Saviour. Although our “Kids Only Sale” doesn’t take place until May, donations are always accepted. Please drop donations off Monday-Friday, 8:00am 4:00pm, or in the Nursery on Sunday mornings. We accept almost anything baby and kid related, as well as maternity clothing (please NO expired car seats or drop-side cribs). If you have questions, please contact Maggie Hinz at 920-265-6432 or [email protected] . LAST CHANCE FOR CPH BIBLE SALE Need a new Bible? Looking for the perfect gift? A CPH order will be placed on Friday, September 20. The order form can be found posted outside the office. If we place an order for 10 or more, shipping will be free; if not, shipping costs will be divided equally between those who order. For questions, call Michelle at (920) 468-4065. SCORE! - GB Trinity was able to purchase two scoreboards for the gym at Our Saviour at a very reduced price. Some funds were borrowed from the athletic account and we will be holding fundraisers to pay for them as well as the cost to install them. Donations can be sent to Green Bay Trinity Scoreboard Fund, 120 S. Henry Street, Green Bay, WI 54302. DON’T COOK BEFORE THE GAME! As a way to pay for our new scoreboards, Green Bay Trinity is hosting a "Night out at Pizza Ranch" on September 24 from 4-8 pm. Our Volleyball girls will be bussing tables that night and Pizza Ranch is donating 10% of the night's profits back to us, plus Northeast Thrivent is providing matching funds (up to $1,450). Pizza Ranch is a Christian organization, and it's a great place to eat!!! Come out for some pizza (so you don't have to cook) and then you can head home to watch the Packer game (without having to do dishes)! Hope to see YOU there!
