One Day Workshop on Marathi Shuddha Lekhan (Orthography)
Lead College Activity
Objective :
It was noticed that me students are not aware about Marathi Shuddha Lekhan
(Orthography). Moreover, they are poor in Marathi writing. Hence, IQAC resolved to
take some concrete steps to remove the obstacle in Marathi writing as Marathi is
mother tongue of Maharashtra. Consequently one day workshop on ‘Marathi Shuddha
Lekhan’ was conducted on 20th
December, 2012.
Activity :
The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Suman Chavan, H. O. D.
Vishvasrao Naik College Shirala. She provided valuable guidance and tips for correct
Marathi writing presidential speech was provided by Shri. B. G. Borate. Near about
85 students attended this workshop. The problems in Marathi writing were discussed
thoroughly and remedies for it here suggested by resource person. The students also
asked their problems and doubts which were cleared by the resource person.
Outcome :
The workshop proved very fruitful. The students expressed. Their satisfaction
about the workshop and resolved to improve their Marathi Shuddha Lekhan especially
the students were keen to know the doubts regarding punctuation marks which were
cleared properly.

One Day Workshop on contribution of Dr. Varghese Kurien, the
Father of the White Revolution of India.
Objective :
Almost all the students are from rural area. They have cattles at their homes.
They should know the advanced mechanism in the field of dairy development. At the
same, they should get idea about the various job opportunities in the field of dairy
development and dairy farming as the problems of unemployment is being more
critical. Hence, one day workshop on ‘contribution of Dr. Varghese Kurien, Father of
the white Revolution of India’ organized on 25th
September, 2012.
Activity :
Dr. Sachin Dhope was invited as a chief resource person. Kallyani Budhvale
and Nishigandha Mulik were also invited. Dr. Sachin Dhope illustrated the advanced
mechanism in the field of dairy development in Nedarland various opportunities to
develop in India about dairy farming. The youth in India should get knowledge about
advanced technique in the field of dairy farming. Kallyani Budhavale and
Nishingandha Mulik also provided valuable guidance about the same. Prin. Dr. Vilas
Kale in his presidential address appealed the students to a quire advanced mechanism
and knowledge for successful life.
Outcome :
The activity proved successful. The students were very enthusiastic to know
advanced knowledge about dairy farming and dairy development. They curiously
asked about various problems in this field and the resource persons and other guests
cleared their doubts. The activity was conducted by Commerce Department.

Low Literacy Workshop conducted by Sexual Harassment
Prevention Committee under Lead College Activity on ‘Prevention of
Sexual Harassment’.
Objective :
In our college we provide co-education. To maintain healthy atmosphere in
college and college campus we implement various activities. Everyday, the students
read the news about sexual Harassment. Hence, IQAC decided to organize a
workshop on ‘Law Literacy’ to create awareness against sexual harassment, and the
laws regarding it. The workshop was conducted on 25th
September, 2013.
Activity :
A team of four advocates was invited to provide guidance regarding law
literacy especially about sexual Harassment and crimes against women. Adv. Miss.
Hande, Adv. Miss. Monalisa Patil, Adv. Pradeep Salunkhe, and Adv. Kiran Patil
provided guidance and knowledge about laws regarding sexual Harassment and
crimes against women. At the same, they discussed the issues like female foeticide,
dowry victims, victims of one sided love which created awareness about crimes
against women and the punishments for it. Prin. Dr. Vilas Kale provided presidential
address.
Outcome :
The activity proved extremely fruitful. The girl students asked various
questions regarding sexual Harassment and laws about women protection. The team
of advocates illustrated on all the issues. The boy students were also very curious to
know about the various laws. The workshop created a positive and good impact in
college and college campus.

One Day Camp on Scientific Awareness Training by Superstition Eradication
Committee and Vivek - Vahini.
Objective :
Though, there is much progress in science and technology, we are failed to
eradicate superstitions in society. Hence, to create healthy minds amongst youth,
IQAC decided to organize a workshop on Scientific Awareness Training Camp on
17th
October, 2013.
Activity :
Dr. Nitin Shinde, Secretary of Maharashtra Superstition Eradication
Committee was invited as Chief Resource Person for the workshop. In his speech, he
explained how Astrology, Science of Architecture, Self-declared Gods and
Goddesses, Miracles, Pretentious tendencies are false and now students should create
scientific attitude to all these things. He focused on nature and superstitions and
extensive grip of it in Indian society, exploitation of common men through
superstitions in their respective villages.
Outcome :
The workshop proved extremely useful and fruitful. The students confessed
honestly that how they were superstitious and how now they have acquired a new and
scientific outlook. They resolved to eradicate superstitions at their homes and villages.
The students asked various questions to resource person which were answered
satisfactorily.

‘Save Girl - Save Nation Campaign’ was organized by N. S. S. in Kalamwadi
village under ‘Women Empowerment’
Objective :
Safety and security of girl child has become a burning issue in India. Due to
female foeticide, the ratio of men-women has been seriously disturbed. In one way,
we are fighting against Nature. Certainly, this will affect human life adversely. Hence,
IQAC asked N. S. S. programme officer to conduct ‘Save Girl - Save Nation
Campaign’ in an adopted village , Kalamwadi for N. S. S. activities. And the activity
was conducted successfully on 3rd
January, 2014 to create awareness about the female
child.
Activity :
‘Save Girl - Save Nation Campaign’ included rally created awareness for
women empowerment. The N. S. S. students and people in the village participated in
the rally. The students displayed posters regarding female foeticide, Men-women
inequality, Harassment of women. After rally, a meeting of villagers and students was
conducted. In this meeting, chief guest Mrs. Surekha Bandgar, Sarpanch of
Kalamwadi delivered a lecture on the need of ‘Women Empowerment’. Chair person
Mrs. Chhaya Devkar explained the situation in villages about girl child and raised
serious questions and need about the safety and security of girl child. The N.S.S.
Programme Officer also told the need of such campaigns, in his speech.
Outcome :
The activity proved very fruitful, as it created awareness about women
empowerment among students and villagers. The people in the village appreciated the
activity as ‘Praiseworthy activity’.

Health Check-up Camp
Objective :
Due to life style of young generation, it is noticed that majority of youngsters
are anemic. The anemic condition among students affect adversely on their physical
and intellectual growth. To shoulder the responsibility of their lives and nation
efficiently, it is our duty to develop healthy youth. Hence, IQAC decided to conduct
the activity for check-up of Hemoglobin and was organized it on 20th
January, 2014 in
Collaboration with Rajarambapu Patil Co-operative Sugar Factory and Smt. K. R. P.
Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Islampur.
Activity :
Hemoglobin check-up took place by the medical team under the guidance of
Dr. Prakash Mahalungkar, Medical Officer, Rajarambapu Co-operative Sugar
Factory. The check-up was implemented especially for girl students. About seventy
girl students participated in this activity.
Outcome :
It was noticed that majority of the girl students are anemic. So, the medical
officer suggested them to avail the opportunity of getting tablets from the hospital of
sugar factory and advised to take healthy diet. Hence, the activity proved very useful
for the girl students.

Crackers - Free Diwali Campaign
Objective :
In fact, Diwali is a festival of lamps and lights. But, nowadays it has become
the festival of fire crackers. Due to this, there is wide pollution of air and sound. It
creates serious health problems. Hence, it is the need of the time to implement
crackers - free campaign. Consequently, this campaign was conducted by Vivek
Vahini and Superstitions Eradication Committee of College.
Activity :
For this campaign, Shri. Sanjay Bansode, Executive President of Sangli District
Superstitions Eradication Committee was invited. He delivered a lecture on the need
of Crackers - Free society. He pointed out the adverse effects of Crackers on infants,
patients and old ones. At the some, he analyzed the various aspects of air pollution
and sound pollution.
Outcome :
Shri. Sanjay Bansode appealed the students to participate in the campaign. All
the students agreed to it and took an oath not to use Crackers in not only Diwali but
also on other occasions. They also filled and submitted Resolution letters about not
using Crackers. Hence, the activity proved very useful and fruitful.

Tree Plantation Campaign
Objective :
The problem of protection of environment is being critical. It is our duty to
create awareness about it among students and youths. Hence, IQAC decided to
participate in the Eco - village project which was being implemented in whole state by
Rural Development Minister, Govt. of Maharashtra, Hon’ble Jayant Patil and the
activity was conducted on 4th
August, 2014.
Activity :
The students of N. S. S. and also other students participated in this activity.
They planted the trees in the premises of ‘Padyatri’, the monument of Rajarambapu
Patil, Premises of Azad Vidyalaya and in college premises. On this ocassion, Shri.
Janardan Patil (Kaka), Vice - President of Rajarambapu Co-operative Bank Ltd., Peth
delivered a lecture and explained the importance of tree plantation.
Outcome :
The activity proved extremely useful. The students became aware of the
concept ‘Save-Earth through Tree Plantation.’ This activity is essential to save future.
Through this activity eco protection and save earth campaign gained momentum.

One Day Workshop on Career Development
On 21st Jan., 2015 One Day Workshop on ‘Career Development’ was
organized in collaboration with Krishna Foundation’s Jaywant Institute of
Management, Wathar, (Karad).
Prof. Parinita Chavan, the chief guest of the workshop explained various paths
for career Development after graduations. Chair - person, Dr. S. R. Pawar explained
various paths of career opportunities for commerce students.

One Day Workshop on Research Methodology
Objective :
Research activity has become extremely important in each and every field. In
the field of education, it has become more important. Hence, to motivate teachers for
research activity, One-day Workshop on Research Methodology was conducted under
lead- college activities, on 18th
March, 2015.
Activity :
Dr. A. M. Sarwade, English Department, Shivaji University Kolhapur was
invited as a Resource Person for the workshop. In his speech he explained the
importance and need of research activities in the field of higher education. All the
teachers participated in this activity. Dr. Sarwade illustrated the methodology of
research for M. Phil, Ph. D. and research papers. He also appealed teachers to
undertake research activities and also encouraged the students to prepare research
papers.
Outcome :
The workshop proved fruitful as some of the teachers resolved to undertake
research activities in the form of M. Phil., Ph. D., Minor Research Projects and to
prepare research papers.

Workshop on Personality Development
Objective :
The aim of the education is to develop overall personality of students and
make them versatile. After that, the students will be able to shoulder the responsibility
of their lives and nation. To build strong nation such sensible citizens are needed.
Hence, IQAC decided to conduct a workshop on Personality Development. The
activity took place under Lead College Activities and Literary Association.
Activity :
Dr. M. J. Jadhav, Asso. Professor in Psychology, K. B. P. College, Islampur
was invited as a Resource Person. He interpreted the various aspects of mind and
focused on how to think in a positive way and find a solution to the problem. He
further provided examples how students and youths are turning to suicide and how
suicide is not a way to find a solution. For personality development, healthy minds are
essential. Dr. Vilas Kale, Principal also provided valuable guidance in his presidential
address.
Outcome :
The activity proved very useful. The student expressed their views frankly and
told that such type of workshop was essential at this stage. There was also discussion
which was essential at this stage. There was also discussion on the problems of
students at this age. The activity concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. S. R. Pawar.

Organization of Zonal Kabaddi (Male)
Objective :
The students in rural area have natural talent for the kabaddi game. They have
shown bright performance many a times. Hence, IQAC decided to provid proper
exposure of kabaddi to the sports persons of the college. Physical education
department took initiative and requested Department of Sports of Shivaji University,
Kolhapur and the University entrusted the responsibility of zonal kabaddi (male)
competition at Kasegaon College.
Activity :
Physical Education Department and especially Physical Director, Shri.
Shantaram Mali made necessary arrangement for conducting the above said
tournaments. The activity took place on 26th
October, 2015. Without any clashes and
problems the tournaments took place smoothly. Hon. Devraj Patil, inaugurated the
tournaments and delivered a speech. He explained the importance of sports and
healthy sports. Shri. Shantaram Mali welcomed the guests and all the teams of
Kabaddi participating in the tournaments. Prin. Dr. Pradnya Ghorpade expressed her
views in her presidential address and told how sportsman spirit is essential in every
stage of life.
Outcome :
Of course, the activity proved fruitful. The students and sportspersons got
exposure of various skills in Kabaddi. They also learn hospitality and treated the
teams from outsides in a proper way.

Organization of Inter Zonal Kabaddi (Women) Competitions
Objective :
The college feels proud to mention that the girl students have natural talent for
the Kabaddi. Some of the girls have represented Shivaji University, Kabaddi team.
Hence, IQAC decided to conduct Inter Zonal Kabaddi Tournaments of Women at
Kasegaon College. Physical Director Shri. Shantaram Mali is very enthusiastic about
organization of such tournaments. He sent a proposal to sports Department of Shivaji
University, Kolhapur to conduct this tournament and the University authorities
entrusted the responsibility of conducting Inter Zonal Kabaddi tournaments for
women for the year 2015-16 and the tournaments took place on 4th
November, 2015
on College ground.
Activity :
All the teams of Inter Zonal participated in the tournament. Eight Committees
were formed to implement this activity. The faculty participated in this activity
enthusiastically. The tournament was inaugurated by Secretary of Kasegaon Edu.
Society, Hon. R. D. Sawant. In his speech he explained the importance of girls
education and their participation in sports. Presidential speech was provided by Hon.
Devraj Patil. Feliciation of guests and the teams from outside took welcomed by the
hands of Prin. Dr. Pradnya Ghorpade.
Outcome :
The activity was extremely successful and fruitful. The students of the college
got exposure of various skills in Kabaddi from the sports persons of other colleges.
They also took inspiration from them.

One Day Workshop on ‘Financial Literacy – How to manage Money and Become
a Smart Investor
Objective :
It is very essential to create financial literacy and awareness about it. The
students should know how to manage money and be a smart investor when they start
earning after leaving college. Hence, IQAC decided to conduct a workshop on the
same. The Commerce Department shouldered the responsibility of organizing this
workshop.
Activity :
The Commerce and Planning Association conducted this workshop on
‘Financial Literacy – How to Manage Money and Become a Smart Investor’ on 10th
February, 2016. Mr. Steven Fernandes, a certified financial planner and SEBI
Registered investment advisor was invited as a resource person. Mrs. Pranali Kambli
also accompanied him. The workshop cut through the jargons and explained concepts
and strategies through stories. The resource persons explained how to set up a smart
financial plan, how to get out of debt and select insurance and investment products.
The presidential address was provided by I/C. Prin. Dr. S. R. Pawar.
Outcome :
The students became aware about the concept of financial literacy, smart
investment, rupee cost averaging and time value of money which were extremely
important for the students for their future. They asked various questions about it
which were cleared by the resource persons.

Workshop on Research Opportunity
Objective :
Research is the key aspect in higher education. There are ample opportunities
in the field of research. The teachers should know these opportunities and get
motivated. Hence, IQAC decided to conduct a workshop on research opportunities.
So, One-Day Workshop was conducted on 10th
March, 2016 under Lead college
Activities.
Activity :
The workshop was organized for teacher in the colleges of cluster group. Dr.
P. V. Mohite was invited as a Resource Person. The teachers from K. B. P. College,
Islampur, Smt. K. R. P. Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Islampur, Y. C. College, Islampur,
Malati Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Islampur, Warana Mahavidyalaya Aitwade, RIT,
Sakharale, Vishwasrao Naik Mahavidyalaya, Shirala, Chikali College , Naik
Mahavidyalaya, Kokurad, participated in this workshop. Dr. P. V. Mohite illustrated
various opportunities in the field of research. He further explained how to make
proposals for Minor Research Project, and how to prepare the same. Dr. S. R. Pawar
also provided guidance in his presidential address.
Outcome :
The teachers were satisfied by the guidance of resource person. They also
raised some questions on which discussion took place and their doubts got cleared. In
such a way, the workshop was fruitful.

Inter Zonal Kabaddi (Men) Competition
Objective :
The students of Kasegaon College are from Kasegaon and from the villages in
the vicinity. Kabaddi is the game of this land. The students have natural talent for the
game of Kabaddi. Hence, IQAC decided to provide more exposure of Kabaddi to the
sports persons of the college and also other students. Physical Director, Shri.
Shantaram Mali shouldered this responsibility and Inter-Zonal Men Kabaddi
Tournaments were conducted at Kasegaon College on 3rd
October, 2016.
Activity :
Prin. Dr. Rajendra Kurlapkar, Chief Guest inaugurated the tournaments. He
appealed students to create sportsman spirit while playing. Shri. Shamrao Patil,
President of Kasegaon Edu. Society provided guidance in his presidential speech. The
teams of the colleges under Shivaji University, Kolhapur participated in the
tournament. The atmosphere on the ground was full of enthusiasm. Without any crisis
the tournaments completed smoothly. Shri. Shantaram Mali, an efficient organizer
conducted the tournament in a very proper way.
Outcome :
The students and sportspersons of to the college got exposure of various skills
in Kabaddi. They also get motivated to see the games of guest teams. The guest teams
also appreciated the management of tournaments and were satisfied.

One Day Workshop on Faculty Development
Objective :
For motivation and improvement in research and college development
continuous activities are essential. Hence, IQAC decided to conduct a workshop on
Faculty Development. The title would be ‘Faculty Development’ on the sub theme
‘Research : Minor and Major Project’ and ‘The Role of IQAC’ in development of
faculty and college. IQAC plays vital role in the development of faculty and college.
Activity :
The workshop was conducted on 19th
October, 2016 at 11.30 a. m. in the
NAAC Room by NAAC. The resource person was I/C Prin. Dr. S. R. Pawar. He
illustrated the importance of research and acute need of research activities in higher
education. He focused on Minor Research Projects. All the teachers and even non-
teaching staff participated in the workshop. The teachers also suggested their valuable
inputs regarding college development and raised certain questions about improvement
in research. The chairperson was Mrs. S. P. Yadav-Patil who explained the role of
IQAC in development of college.
Outcome :
The workshop proved useful. The teachers got motivated to undertake
research activities as their doubts were cleared by resource person.

One Day Workshop on the use of ICT in Higher Education
Objective :
In the world of globalization and advanced technology, the colleges and
faculty should get streamlined, though in the rural area. Hence IQAC decided to
conduct a workshop on ‘Use of ICT’ in Higher education.
Activity :
The workshop was conducted on 15th
Feb., 2017. The resource person was
Shri. Sandesh Misal, Veetrag Computers, Sangli. The Chair Person was I/c. Dr. S. R.
Pawar. The resource person demonstrated the use of ICT i. e. digital class-rooms,
power point presentation etc. which is inevitable part of teaching. All the teaching
staff participated in the workshop. Prin. Dr. S. R. Pawar explained the importance of
ICT in higher education. Coordinator S. P. Yadav Patil appealed the teachers to
increase and improve the use of ICT in teaching.
Outcome :
The workshop proved fruitful and useful. The teachers became motivated to
use advanced techniques of teaching. They resolved to increase the use of power point
presentations in teaching.

Alumni Parents Meet
Objective :
Alumni and parents play the vital role in the development of college. At the
same, there are major aspects of the college. Interaction with them helps for the
improvement in college development. Hence, IQAC asks the concerned committee to
conduct Alumni Parents meet every year.
Activity :
Shri B. G. Borate, Coordinator of Alumni Parents Committee conducted this
meet on 15th
March, 2017. Due to his extensive efforts 62 parents and 44 students
attended this meet. The meet was chaired by Shri. Sachin Patil, one of the Alumni. He
appealed parents and alumni to visit college regularly and contribute for the
development of college. Prin. Dr. S. R. Pawar in his presidential address illustrated
the importance of strong bond between college and parents and alumni. The parents
expressed satisfaction for the development of college and also asked for
improvements in certain facilities provided to students. The alumni agreed to
contribute for the development of college.
Outcome :
The activity always proves fruitful and useful. The bridge between college and
Alumni and parents became stronger and healthy.

One Day Workshop
on
Web Project Development using HTML and ASP. NET Technology
Objective :
The students of B.C.A. should get contemporized with advanced techniques
and effective use of it. Hence, IQAC asked B. C. A. Department to conduct such
workshops for B. C. A. students.
Activity :
Miss. S. S. Jangam, Head, B. C. A. Department conducted the workshop on
‘Web Project Development’ Using HTML and Asp. NET Technology on 23rd
March,
2017. The resource persons were Prof. Bhaskar Patil and Prof. Abhijeet Patil from
Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune, Y. M. Institute of Management, Malakapur-Karad. The
resource persons illustrated with demonstration the web project development using
HTML and Asp. NET Technology. The workshop was chaired by I\C Prin. Dr. S. R.
Pawar. He also appealed students to be update which is the need of time.
Outcome :
The content of the workshop was appreciated by the students. It proved
beneficial for their future career. Hence, the activity proved essential and useful.
