Several years ago, Low Range Off Road embarked upon making a harness that would serve the needs of all retrofitting of Electric Lockers in Toyota Pickups and 4Runners. These electric lockers are found in the rear of 1996+ Tacoma's, FJ Cruisers, 4Runners and front of FJ80 Landcruisers.Not only did we want an easy to install harness, we wanted it to be virtually plug-and-play in less than an hour. This is it!! Project: 1986 Suzuki Samurai

Owner: Low Range Off-Road

A!customer!named!Terry!McGinnis!

started!this!project!in!2009.!!It!was!

purchased!from!the!previous!owner!for!

$400.00!after!it!had!an!engine!fire.!Terry!

decided!to!create!the!ultimate!rock!

crawler.!!Receipts!show!that!this!1986!

“Sammy”!has!had!about!$20,000!worth!of!

parts!and!labor!not!including!the!cost!of!

the!engine,!transmission,!seats!and!tires.!!

The!suspension!is!a!TrailKTough!Trail!

Slayer!Kit!that!was!purchased!from!Low!

Range!OffKRoad.!!The!power!train!has!been!

enhanced!with!a!2.0L!Suzuki!Tracker!fuel!

injected!engine,!3!speed!automatic!

transmission!and!a!Low!Range!Built!6.5!

transfer!case!with!a!TrailKTough!rear!

driveline!disconnect.!!ARB!Air!Lockers,!

front!and!rear!in!Toyota!Axles,!finish!out!

the!drive!train!modification.!

The!body!has!been!fitted!with!a!custom!

tube!front!clip,!custom!bolt!in!roll!cage!and!

PRP!seats.!!Everything;!roll!cage,!frame,!

front!and!rear!axles,!etc.!have!been!fully!

powder!coated!in!a!chromeKlike!silver!

color.!!The!modified!body!has!been!

painted!with!a!custom!blue!paint.

Sadly,!Terry!died!of!colon!cancer!in!2010!

and!the!project!sat!dormant,!in!a!garage,!

until!mid!2013!at!which!time!his!wife!

decided!to!sell!it.!!Low!Range!OffKRoad!

purchased!the!project!and!plans!to!finish!

and!sell!it!in!the!near!future.!!Items!yet!to!

be!done!are:!body!and!engine!wiring,!

lighting,!exhaust,!interior!flooring,!finish!

building!the!front!axle,!rear!disc!brakes,!

new!rims!with!custom!blue!accent!rings,!

and!miscellaneous!plumbing!such!as!

brake,!fuel!and!coolant!lines.

It!will!be!awesome!when!it!is!done!
