TEMA NEWSLETTER Number 1

At last we published the first issue of our newsletter! It has been a while since we got together,

forming TEMA research group, in order to learn and contribute with our effort and knowledge

towards a more sustainable building construction. Many activities, events, conferences and PhD

dissertations have been done during the last year and we wish to continue moving forward!

WEIB2013 The First edition of the Workshop on

Environmental Impact of Buildings

(WEIB2013) took place last 25-26 september

at our School at the Universidad Politécnica

de Madrid.

The workshop was a success with more than

70 attendees. WEIB2013 had a dynamic

methodology in which participants made

interesting presentations of their knowledge

and experience, getting to analyze the path

towards an environmental friendly building

construction and addressing the serious

environmental impacts of the sector,

particularly energy consumption, waste

generation and emissions.

The second edition of WEIB will be held in

the II International Conference on
