Dear Friend of the College of Education:
As the new dean of the University of Georgia College of
Education, I am particularly excited about our research
initiatives. A major focus of the College is conducting rigorous
research on the most pressing problems in education. Faculty
and staff members are currently engaged in numerous
externally funded projects that examine issues in teacher
preparation, school leadership development, literacy, math
and science education, special education, and educational
psychology.
In the pages that follow, we would like to highlight some of
the outstanding research that our faculty and students will be
presenting this year at AERA. The work is vibrant, original,
and making a difference in the lives of children, families,
schools, and communities.
We look forward to seeing you at our presentations so you
have the opportunity to see the significant research our
scholars in the College of Education are engaged in.
Craig H. Kennedy, PhDDean and Professor
