B.3 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We do not accept cash payments in our offices and do not do any refunds after booking.

Your booking/payment presumes you have confirmed with us that we are not already full for the slot.

Module/s, date/s or any other amendments can only be made up to 14 days prior to the exam and a bookingamendment fee of R590 will be charged and paid prior to any such amendment.

Amendments made (irrespective of reasons) 14 days or less prior to the exam will be charged at the full examfee (R700)

Cancellations made (irrespective of reasons) 14 days or less prior to the exam or non attendance, late comingeven by 3 minutes or on the day of the exam, results in forfeiture of the total exam and the related fees as weincur service costs upfront on your behalf.

3. EMERGENCY TIPS FOR EXAMS DAY

In the event of power failure or other interruption on exam day/time, if the candidate believes s/he may have done enough to passthen the centre will retrieve the incomplete result file from the hard drive of assessment pc and forward to CIMA for onwardsubmission to EDI for extracting the result. The following rules will apply:1. If the candidate has scored enough marks to pass the whole assessment (i.e. achieved 50% or more of the total number of

marks available irrespective of how much of the assessment has been completed) then a pass will be awarded and the CBA

admin system and CARIS updated.2. When a pass cannot be awarded under (1) above then, guidelines have been agreed with the Chair of CIMA's Appeals

Working Party (AWP), a sub-group of the Examinations and Assessment Oversight Board (EAOB), so that candidates whocould be reasonably expected to have passed given the score achieved at the point of the power cut can be awarded a passresult.

A free re-sit should be offered to any candidate who cannot be awarded a pass under the above rules. The candidateshould be offered a free re-sit either immediately power returns (in the case of students not waiting for a result for theprevious attempt to be extracted) or at another convenient time. The centre should create a second access token andemail CIMA to request a credit note.

Any cases not meeting the above criteria will be referred to the Chair of the Appeals WorkingParty (AWP).
