2013 Fall Semester

A personal message from Pastor Jerry Sims

Welcome to our Fall Connecting Points 2013!  I’m excited about the possibilities CP’s will bring to Weatherly this Fall.  If there is anything we do that promotes this year’s theme, “Ingathering,” it is CP’s.  Connecting Points are designed to help us do three things God has called us to do as His people. Those three things are:

Gather to Him,Gather to one another,

Gather for Him. Within these pages are names and descriptions of small groups to be held during the Fall that will help you be the in-gatherer God has called you to be. Some CP’s focus on God’s Word, enabling us to know Him and know what He wants of us.  There are CP’s that help us put key concepts of Christian living into everyday life, other CP’s are simply fun!  They are designed to help us become more involved with one another and to reach into our community. Thank you for taking time not only to look through this Fall semester’s CP’s, but for getting involved and becoming the in-gatherer God has called all of us to be.

God’s love and grace,Pastor Jerry

It seems he’s stumbled upon the caper that changed the world! This is an ultra-cool production that is fun, funny, but rock-solid with sound Biblical truth. If your child is interested in participating, please see Pastor Jackie, Tricia Brust, Danielle Smith, or Pam Webber.

Do you have an idea for a Connecting Point (small group)?  All of us have things we enjoy and participate in that can be used by God as tools to connect those outside the church to His family.  Connecting Points is one way of reaching the unchurched; building bridges for

them to cross so they can enter into God’s plan for their lives.  I encourage you to take a moment and reflect on the things you enjoy that could become a Connecting Point. If you would like to talk about it, give Pastor Nick a call at 256.883.9520.  He would love to help you

build your own “Connecting Point.”
