Mobile App Guide
Introduction
Welcome to the 2013 Honeywell Users Group Americas Symposium.
This year, we have replaced the printed agenda book with a mobile
application that will guide you through the sessions and many activities
taking place.
The following pages will describe where and how to download the
application and give you an overview tutorial. You will find all the
information you need for the event in this interactive, user-friendly
application. See information that includes a schedule of presentations,
session details, speakers bios, Knowledge Center demonstration
listing and much more.
We encourage you to download the application now and as information
is added to the agenda for the week, your application will be updated
when you use the refresh button in the application.
Supported OS
iPhone / iPad:
• iOS 5.1-6.1.2
• Includes iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S, 5), iPod Touch (4th, 5th Gen),
iPad (1, 2, 3 & iPad mini).
Android OS:
• 2.3.3 – 2.3.7, 4.0 – 4.1
Blackberry OS:
• 5.0 – 7.1
• Depending on the BlackBerry device, you may require an SD card. In some cases, the SD cards must be reset by turning the BlackBerry off, removing the SD card and placing it back in its place and then turning the BlackBerry on.
• IT policy set on the device should allow third-party apps.
Website:
Using a web browser on your laptop or desktop computer, enter www.HUGAmericas2013.quickmobile.com to view the website version.
Download
• Open a web browser on your mobile device.
• Type in http://hug2013.quickmobile.mobi/ in the address field.
• Click on the link for your platform to begin downloading the app.
• The Username is your company email address and the
password is HUG2013.
• You can also download the app in the following ways: go to iTunes
for iOS or Google store for Android.
• Look for the red 2013HUGAmericas red button.
Home Screen and Profile
When first logging into the
app, click on the cog icon
to change your personal
settings.
Search
Click the Search icon to find
information for the Knowledge
Center, Schedule or Speakers.
Schedule
Click on Schedule to view the
sessions that are taking place
during the event.
Schedule: Session Details
Clicking on a session will open
the details page.
To add a session to your personal
schedule, click the ellipsis button.
To take notes for a session,
click on the notes button.
Knowledge Center
Click on Knowledge Center to
see what is in the demo room.
Click on any item to view the
best route based on your
interest. You can also see list
of all demonstrations in the
Knowledge Center.
Knowledge Center: Listing
Click on a listing to view
the details.
Click on the PIN icon
to view the location
of that solution on
the map.
Speakers
To see the list of speakers,
click on the Speakers icon.
You can click on a speaker
to see their details.
My Schedule
To view your personalized
event schedule, click on My
Schedule. This will display a
list of all the events you have
selected for the week.
Documents
Click on the Documents icon
to see a list of available
documents for viewing and
downloading to My Briefcase.
Click on the plus
button to add a
document to My
Briefcase.
Customer Interest
Click on the Customer
Interest form to request
more information on a
particular solution.
Click the submit button
when you have finished
filling out the form.
Channel Partners
Click on Channel Partners to
view information about the
Channel Partners program.
Info Booth
Click on Info Booth for
information regarding social
events, hotel map, etc.
Click on any item on the
list to view the details.
Game
Click on Game for instructions
and to participate.
• Click Instructions to see
how to play the game.
• Click Leaderboard to view
the top leaders in the game.
• Click Check-In to enter PIN
codes and receive points.
• Click Objectives to find out
ways to earn points.
Game: Check-In
Click on Check-In
Visit the Knowledge Center
and enter the PIN codes
provided at each demo you
visit to receive points.
A green notification bar appears
at the top of the screen showing
the successful submission and
number of points added to
your total.
Social Networks
Click on any of the social
networking sites to visit the
Honeywell pages, send a
tweet, or post on LinkedIn.
A Twitter account is required
to view or post HUG tweets.
Social Networks: Twitter
Click on Twitter from the
Social Networks icon.
You will see tweets from
users with the Hashtag under
the Twitter header.
To send a tweet, click
the compose icon.
Enter your tweet and
click send. Note, the
event hashtag has
been pre-populated.
Social Networks: Twitter Retweet
To Retweet
Click on a post
Click on the top right
button to retweet.
Sponsors
Click on Sponsors icon to see
a list of sponsors for the event.
Click on any sponsor to view
their details.
Session Attendance
Click on Session Attendance
to check-in at any session
you attend.
Enter the check-in code
provided at each session.
You can see a list of sessions
where you checked in.
Contact Exchange
This feature was developed for
end users to interact and
exchange contact information
with each other.
Enter the two PIN codes
provided by another attendee
to receive their information.
Give your two PIN codes to
provide your information to
others.
Survey
Help make HUG better by filling
out a survey.
Click on any of the surveys in
the list and answer all the
questions listed.
Click the submit button at the
bottom when done.
My Briefcase
My Briefcase contains all of
the items you have added
from Documents
Click on the mail
button to email the
documents in My
Briefcase.
Photos
The photo gallery allows you to
share or view photos that have
been taken during the event.
Click on the camera
icon to take a photo
and submit it to the
HUG Photo gallery.
Photos: Add Caption and Share
You may add a caption to your photo
using the description field.
Click the share button to submit.
Once it’s approved by the moderators,
it will become visible in the gallery for
all attendees to see.
Notes
Click on the Notes icon
to view the notes you
have taken.
Click on the mail icon
to email all your notes.
