Ms. Sulzberger is a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Certified Professional Coder. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Mid America Nazarene University. Ms. Sulzberger received her nursing license in 1994 and was a practicing clinician at Saint Luke’s Health System for several
years before transferring to the internal compliance/audit area. She became credentialed as a Certified Professional Coder in 1996 and assisted the Saint Luke’s Health System with performing medical record chart audits to verify the accuracy of the internal
coding and claims processing.
Ms. Sulzberger spent approximately six years as a coding/billing consultant with National accounting and consulting firms (BKD, Grant Thornton) before becoming the President of Coding & Compliance Initiatives, Inc. (CCI) in April 2003. Ms. Sulzberger assists her clients with improving their operational performance in a variety of critical outcome areas, including coding/billing, corporate compliance, charge capture processes, etc. Ms. Sulzberger works with a variety of health care providers including hospitals, physician practices, and rural health clinics in their daily compliance and operational activities.
Physicians First, Inc. was founded in Orlando, Florida in June of 1990 by the company president, Leslie Witkin. Leslie is a graduate of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock School of Nursing in New Hampshire and has over twenty years of successful experience in medical practice management.
Her long term healthcare career has fostered mutual respect in clinical and professional relationships with
physicians, medical office personnel, state and federal legislators, and executives in other organizations that represent physician interests.
The company works directly with physician businesses to provide operational assessments, auditing, and other consulting services. In addition, Physicians First, Inc. has conducted and written comprehensive manuals for a variety of seminars both nationally and throughout the State of Florida. Topics for programs are always pertinent to the latest regulatory and operational issues facing the medical business.

Ms. Susan Dellegar is the Orthopedic Service Line Administrator for Tulsa Bone and Joint Associates and the St. John Health System in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received her Master’s in Nursing Administration from the University of Oklahoma. During her fifteen-year career at St. John Hospital, she started as a CST and
then became and OR, ICU and ER nurse and eventually became the manager of the ER and
Operating Room, Susan decided it was time for a change of scenery and at Tulsa Bone and Joint found her passion as the Orthopedic Service Line Administrator. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of the co-management agreement at three hospitals within the Saint John Health System with particular emphasis on managing implant costs, quality, and standardization of care. Steve is a principal in Somerset’s Health Care Team, which focuses on providing consulting, tax and accounting services for physician groups and hospital systems. Steve initiated our Ancillary Services Group that facilitates the feasibility, organization, funding and set up of operations of ambulatory surgery
centers, medical office buildings and associated ancillaries (physical therapy, imaging, DME, urgent care, etc.). He is a frequent speaker on the business of
health care at conferences around the country. In 2003, he was named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s “Who’s Who Behind the Scenes in Health Care” list. In 2006, Steve served as an Industry Partner Advisor to the Health Care Advisory Board for their “Innovation and the Outmigration of Care” publication. In 2008 and 2009, he was recognized as one of the “People to Know in the ASC Industry” by Becker’s ASC Review.
Stephen graduated from Southern College in Tennessee in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting and received the Ralph M. Davidson Senior Award in Accounting.

Todd McDonagh is the Chief Operating Officer at MedSafe/Total Compliance Solutions, a healthcare compliance company. Working for MedSafe brings Todd back to his roots in the healthcare industry. He started his career as a Nursing Home Administrator for Sun Healthcare Group. Before coming
full circle, he was the Managing Director at The Mad Dog Group, a boutique Internet marketing and social media consultancy, the Vice President of Operations for HomePortfolio, Inc, an online product library for the home design industry and the Director of
Consulting for Logan Britton, a national consulting company focused on the banking and insurance industries. He received his MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Connecticut and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University.
He is an Adjunct Professor of Management at the Girard School of Business at Merrimack College and sits on the Board of Our Neighbor’s Table, a local non-profit focused on feeding the hungry in the Merrimack Valley. He lives in Haverhill, Massachusetts with his wife, Georgette, son, Daniel and daughter, Madeline.
Having spent over a decade as a Paralegal doing collections and bankruptcy, Mea Austin saw the need for a more solution oriented approach to address the rising number of uninsured patients. In early 1992, she formed the Medical Assistance Program (MAP.) MAP was the first of a suite of services at
Haase and Long to “compassionately create zero balances” for healthcare providers and patients. Mea also launched the “People Services” department,
developing the hiring practices and leadership culture embraced by Haase and Long to this day. She shares her passion for leadership, healthcare, time management and human resource issues in unique, humorous and insightful presentations. Mea currently serves as a Director of Solutions at Haase and Long and is recognized nationally as an authority on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, 501(r) regulations, dealing with uninsured patients, and payment solutions for undocumented aliens. Mea is a graduate of Washburn University and a native of Lawrence, Kansas.

Jacque James is President and Founder of Asset Recovery Associates (ARA), the leading Missouri-based fraud prevention firm that provides fraud investigations and risk management solutions for privately held companies, not for profits and medical practice groups.
Jacque’s professional background is unique – a combination of law enforcement, corporate investigations, entrepreneurship and financial services. In law enforcement she developed an understanding of the legal and justice systems, and embraced the ability to be discreet and confidential while proactively delivering results.
Jacque worked for several multi-million dollar national retailers serving at senior-level management positions in loss prevention. She and her team performed employee theft and HR investigations, conducted fraud and awareness training, and implemented operational and mitigation loss programs that contributed significantly to increasing overall net profits.
Jacque previously owned and operated a micro winery,
and was a trusted advisor for business owners as a branch manager in banking.
Jacque earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo College in Tampa, Florida. She received her Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Accounting and Financial Management with an emphasis as a Certified Fraud Examiner from Keller Graduate School of Management in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jacque is an adjunct professor at Devry University and Keller Graduate School of Management where she teaches business management and criminal justice courses. Jacque is currently studying for her Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credentials. She holds the following certifications:
