Admission and Records• Class Rosters available at

WebAdvisor• It’s important to frequently check

the class roster the first few weeks for changes

• Students must be officially registered if they are attending class

• If they are not on your Class Roster please refer them to the Admission and Records office

Admission and Records• Census and student drops are

done online/internet in the Faculty WebAdvisor

• Census is a very important activity for all of us

• It determines our apportionment for state funding

• It is mandatory to report no shows• Contact Hilda Landin for

information regarding census, rosters, grades

Academic Senate• Represents ALL faculty full and

part-time in academic and professional matters

• Meet the first Thursday of each month 3:30pm 10-8

• Senate has an office located in the Counseling building near the Vice President of Instruction’s office

• Faculty Forum is the Senate newsletter distributed electronically

FoundationOur mission is to make friends and develop resources that help Victor Valley College to serve our community.  We raise money, facilitate donations of goods, manage scholarships, build partnerships and serve as an extension of college public relations efforts.   We want all students who want an education and are willing to work hard at learning to have the opportunity to realize their educational and ultimately their career dreams.   Everything we do is funded by donations from our generous community and alumni.

Benefits• CORE BENEFITS - A negotiated comprehensive

benefits package is provided to eligible regular Faculty and Classified bargaining unit members and is also provided to Management/Administrative/Confidential.     By way of our JPA partnership with SCSEBA (Southern California School Employee Benefits Association), medical, vision, dental, life premiums currently are paid by the district and eligible dependents may be included.  Also included is a Medical Advocate program, Wellness programs, an Employee Assistance Plan, and access to the online benefits system.

OUR PURPOSE• To provide a medium through which its

students may jointly advance and promote their common interests, goals, and objectives

• To advance the highest standards of food service at Victor Valley College

• To provide information and assistance to students by means of discussion, research, and practical exercises

DESERT ROCK CAFÉ Student run dining and kitchen area Providing lunch entrees to faculty and

staff and their guests in the Student Activities Center

Allows creativity for students to develop daily specials, desserts, soups, and salads Students prepare and serve as part of their practical lab requirements for courses offered

RAM ROCK CAFÉ Students developed plan to

implement barista which was a state awarded grant

Students experience administrative skills to run a coffee cart including scheduling,

bookkeeping, inventory control and training of other students to prepare food and drink that

customers order
