one-tough truckTacoma is built on a rugged frame strengthened with 203 mm (8-inch) cross members, stout centre rails and rear-inner channel reinforcements. The engine features Variable Valve Timing with intelligence to help deliver maximum power on minimum fuel.

available V6 engine that delivers a hold-onto your

hard hat, 266 lb.ft. of torque, you create a truck that

eLectronIcALLY controLLeD LockIng reAr DIFFerentIALTacoma’s available electronically controlled locking rear differential distributes power evenly to both rear wheels, providing more grip in low-traction conditions. A steel sleeve actuator locks the slide gear into the ring gear, locking the rear axles. Once locked, the rear axle can apply all of its traction to help get you moving in the right direction.

BilsTEiN® shOCksAvailable Bilstein® shocks deliver a ride so smooth, you’ll mistake the off-road for the blacktop. Tacoma also offers ventilated front disc brakes that deliver confident stopping power no matter how bad the road or weather conditions are.

V6 ENgiNEThe design of Tacoma’s available V6 engine puts the spark plugs in the centre of the combustion chamber. This pentroof combustion creates a cleaner, more efficient burn and increases both performance and fuel efficiency.

(6) Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control.

(7) Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance and tire and road conditions.

(8) Smart Stop Technology operates only in the event of certain simultaneous brake and gas pedal applications. When engaged, the system will reduce engine power to help the brakes bring the vehicle to a stop. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver input can all impact stopping distance. Smart Stop Technology is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving and does not guarantee instant stopping.
