COURSE FEES

Tuition and kit fees are listed within this course guide. For a combination of courses that

total over $6,000.00, a 20% price break will be applied. Payment plan option is available.

REGISTRATION FEES AND DEADLINES

A Registration fee of $150.00 is applicable for all enrollments passed the deadline.

Deadlines are 3 weeks prior to start dates.

The correct combination of courses will be key to achieve your career goals. Below is

some helpful information to help you determine the right courses for you!

HOBBY/ BASIC ARTIST

If Makeup Artistry or Hair Design is a hobby for you, and with some training you wish to

develop or enhance yours skills to be able to create looks on your friends, family and

perhaps some referrals, or you see yourself applying for beauty counter jobs in

department stores to offer makeovers and give product advice, you definitely want to

take Beginner Makeup Artistry (MUA-B) and or Hair Design 1 (HD-1). Training at this level

will be plenty to achieve this goal and finally give you the skills and confidence you want

to have some fun with what you love!

PROFESSIONAL FREELANCE ARTIST (MAKEUP and/or HAIR for the Bridal Industry)

This is more than a hobby for you and you want to put a serious foot forward towards

developing a lucrative career as a Bridal Freelance Artist. To be able to fully complete in

the market, your combination of courses will include Beginner Makeup Artistry (MUA-B)

that covers everything from skin anatomy, color theory, sanitization and full application

methods that leads you into Airbrush Makeup (MUA-AB) keep in mind that if you don’t

airbrush, you are already outdated!, and Bridal Makeup Artistry (ME-B) where you get

down to business learning to create various bridal looks in preparation for your portfolio

shoots to capture your newly developed skills. Between in class learning, professional

portfolio shoots and bridal business sessions, you will be market ready! For even more of an

edge, add on Hair Design 1 (HD1) and Bridal Hair Design (HD-2B). Even if your first love is

Makeup, adding Hair Design to your service menu is highly recommended as it will make

you that much more desirable to prospective clients.

PROFESSIONAL FREELANCE ARTIST (Well Rounded Industry Artist)

You are absolutely serious about becoming a well rounded Industry Artist, working or

freelancing in a combination of fields such as Bridal, Glamour, Fashion, Editorial, TV and

Film Makeup. The courses to complete are Beginner Makeup Artistry (MUA-B), Airbrush

Makeup (MUA-AB) keep in mind that if you don’t airbrush, you are already outdated!,

Bridal Makeup Artistry (ME-B), Fashion Makeup Artistry (ME-F) where you get down to

business learning to create various bridal and fashion looks, TV/Special Effects (ME-TVFX),

and Fantasy Makeup (ME-FS) to add some create flare to your style. Classroom hours,

Industry experiences and extensive portfolio shoots will get you on your way to working

with top Makeup Companies, Magazines, Television Studios and Films.

Hair is always a great way to enhance your desirability especially when freelancing. At

minimum, take Hair Design 1 (HD1) and also consider Bridal Hair Design (HD-2B) and

Fashion Hair Design (HD-2F).

Classes are designed part time to allow you to work around other priorities such as work,

school or family. Unleash your Alter Ego and finally let out the Artist in you!

CHOOSE COURSES BASED ON YOUR CAREER PATH OF CHOICE

MAKEUP ARTISTRY CERTIFICATE (Beginner) – MUA-B

Your Makeup Career starts with this part time hands on comprehensive

course designed for beginner artists and also first time Certificate level

for self taught artists. Pre-requisites: None

Outline: Skin Anatomy, Sanitization, Color Theory, Face Shapes,

Highlighting/Contouring, Full advanced hands on application, Beauty

Business: Freelance Marketing and Branding.

Classroom Hours: 24 (complete 15 industry hours to have the word

beginner dropped from the Certificate).

Examination: Written Test and Practical Exam Industry/ Practical Hours available to build resume.

Fees $2140.00 Full PRO kit Included.

There is an option for tuition only for $1400 which includes a PRO Brush Set and use of products in class. For this option, students are unable to participate in industry hours as our kit is required for that.

ADVANCED FASHION MAKEUP ARTISTRY CERTIFICATE – ME-F

A combination of classroom, studio and industry hours, sets the stage

for learning advanced Fashion Makeup techniques.

Pre-requisites: GLOW Academy Makeup Artistry Certification or

equivalent from a credible school.

Outline: Period Makeup, Photography Makeup, Trends, Runway,

Stage/Theatre

Classroom/Studio Hours: 30

Examination: Written Test and Practical Assessment

ADVANCED BRIDAL MAKEUP CERTIFICATE – ME-B

Learn the Art and Business of Bridal Makeup Artistry with this power

packed set of advanced classes and portfolio shoots.



Outline: Advanced training to accommodate the Natural/Classic

Bride, Glamor Bride, and ethnic Bridal looks such as the South Asian

and Middle Eastern Bride.

MAKEUP

AIRBRUSH MAKEUP ARTISTRY CERTIFICATE MUA-AB

Airbrushing skills are now a necessary skill set to stay competitive in the

marketplace. Progress with current trends and learn the art of Airbrush

Artistry.



Outline: Airbrush Safety, Touchless Foundation, blush, contour

application.

TV & SPECIAL EFFECTS MAKEUP CERTIFICATE ME-TVFX

Become well rounded by learning the requirements of television and

film special effects makeup. Industry Unionized Artists require these

makeup skills.



Outline: Television Makeup for male and female, Aging effects, Cuts,

Bruises, Broken Noses, Burns and Frost Effects.


Industry Experiences: Available to grads.

Examination: Practical Assessment as part of portfolio shoots

FANTASY MAKEUP CERTIFICATE ME-FS

Add some creative flare to your portfolio with this combination of

classroom and photo shoot hours.



Outline: Learn such techniques as Skeletal Makeup, Geisha,

Masquerade, Pop Art and other creative themes.

MAKEUP

HAIR DESIGN CERTIFICATE HD1

Hair Design skills will come in use in most Makeup Artistry jobs. This

course is a great way to understand and develop the skills needed to

take on hair alongside makeup jobs.

Pre-requisites: None

Outline: Hair Anatomy, Hair products, Hot Tools, Hair Classification and

Textures, Sectioning, Backcombing, Curling, Pinning and Setting.


Industry/ Practical Hours available to grads.

BRIDAL HAIR DESIGN CERTIFICATE HD-2B

Learn the Art and of Bridal Hair Design with this power packed set of

advanced classes and portfolio shoots.

Pre-requisites: GLOW Academy Hair Design Certification or equivalent

Focus: Bridal and Party updos and Styling hair extensions.

FASHION HAIR DESIGN CERTIFICATE HD-2F

Gain some creative hair design skills with this fun and fierce set of

classes and portfolio shoots designed to take your portfolio to the next

level.

Focus: Fashion Editorial Hair Design

Outline: Theory and step by step hands on training on Hair Extension
