Girls make up more than half of the world’s 143 million out-of-school
youth.
In 2012, USAID’s Akazi Kanoze Work-Readiness
project trained over 2,000 young Rwandan
women in work-readiness and vocational skills.
Since then, at least 700 have found gainful
employment.
