Free ServicesStorm Technologies offer an extensive range of value added services. These services are genuinely free and are not hidden anywhere within our product pricing. When dealing with us you are free to take advantage of as many as necessary. We have an in-house configuration centre and on site warehouse facilities so all the services specified here are carried out by our own highly qualified staff under one roof.

Pre-delivery ServicesServers, desktops and notebooks can all have their hardware configured by our technical team prior to shipment. By pre-installing any system add-ons we

save you significant amounts of time and space. This will save you hassle by reducing the amount of dead on arrival (DOA) equipment and manufacturer returns. We will also remove and dispose of any extra packaging.

While fast delivery times are often essential, sometimes ensuring that new equipment will not be DOA is even more so; especially if you are scheduling highly paid engineers to attend site in order to install new hardware. Storm can carry out pre-delivery burn testing for a specified time period. Whilst we cannot guarantee that the hardware will not fail, if it does fail on our test bench it saves you the cost of sending expensive staff to remote locations.

Imaging a standard desktop or laptop takes approximately 20 minutes. Storm can do this for you; the time saved can help reduce the turn-around time to the end user. The same service applies with servers. By releasing your engineers from carrying out the mundane task of building server software images, they are available for higher value tasks. We can also help you create and maintain your images.

Asset Barcode LabellingWe can design, supply and place asset labels on your equipment prior to shipment. Our asset management database can capture the data you need and provide it in any format you require. Basic information such as the serial number, your PO and the asset number can be downloaded via our online account tracking portal.

Product LabellingBooking in equipment is a mundane task, but one that is essential to control stock inventory and help you with asset management. By adding product labels with serial and asset numbers on the outside of packaging, booking in and monitoring assets within your organisation is made easy.

Warehouse FacilitiesStorm appreciate that at times our customers need to purchase excess stock or a large volume of hardware, we are able to store this on your behalf with over 600m2 of warehousing.

We employ a dedicated team of warehouse operatives to ensure all logistics and storage is fully managed and monitored, providing our customer with peace of mind. Our facilities are fully protected with out of hours CCTV so even when our employees aren’t around, your hardware is being looked after.

Support Call LoggingHow long does it take to place a support call with a hardware manufacturer? At Storm we will take the hassle away by doing this for you, we will then respond promptly with our findings. Our ITIL compliant service desk is staffed from 8.30am to 5.30pm on normal business days by 1st to 4th line helpdesk staff with direct escalation to Service Delivery Managers. Calls to our helpdesk are answered in an average of 7 seconds. You can also log support calls via email and through our website, giving you even more points of contact.
