Many of the intro letters thathave been written in the pasthave commented on how time is

just flying by. Labor Day arrivesand many of us, at least myself,are still thinking Memorial Day.

A direct parallel to this is thedramatic change in the way wehandle day to day business, andhow we communicate. We hearquite often of serious hacking ofmajor, intensely secure computer

OnNovember 12, 1944, the British RoyalAir Force attacked the Tirpitz withspecial tallboy bombs, settling it nearthe shore in the shallow water. Shortlyafter the war, a Norwegian specialtycompany took interest in the speciallyalloyed steel of the Tirpitz, and

retrieved parts of the special armor

BOKER MAMMUT. Roughly fourmillion years ago, large herds ofmammoths inhabited parts of ourprehistoric earth. It was about fourthousand years ago these giganticcreatures became extinct. In recenttimes, fully preserved mammothswere discovered in the frozenfields of Siberia. Some challengingtests proved that the teeth of themammoth provided a truly uniquestructure - an artistic appearanceunlike anything else. The intricate

handwork required and sheer age

The Boker Dinosaur Collectiblegives you the opportunity to ownand treasure something a bit older.Actually, a lot older - 130 millionyears old!

The handle scales of thesecollectibles are actually asection of petrified bone froma Sauropod, immense creatureswith elephant-size feet and longnecks and tails - commonly knownas the Brontosaurus. Duringthe Age of the Dinosaurs, these

creatures roamed the MesozoicSouthwest. These particularfossils were discovered in the FourCorners region of northwesternNew Mexico. For unknown reasons,some of these specimens werequickly covered by mud and sandafter death, causing them tobecome fossilized, or transformedinto rock. The bone marrow in thecell cavities was replaced by fineparticles, which then agatized toform the extremely unique coloringpattern that you see in the handle.A very limited amount of this boneis available for our use. Swiss pikemen throughout the 15thand 16th centuries. Swiss daggerswere not usually issued as ordinanceweapons, but purchased privately bysoldiers as secondary weapons. TheBoker Swiss daggers characteristichilt features the same crescent-shapedpommel and crossguard as the originaldaggers, but now feature rust resistantstainless steel instead of iron. Theircurved shape appeared as early asthe 13th century and remained uniqueto Switzerland. This distinctive hiltdesign can be recognized in many ofHans Holbeins works, which is why theSwiss dagger was sometimes referredto as a "Holbein dagger." The handle
