THE COUPE DESIGNED JUST BY LISTENING.We took the reliability and many of the features you expect from the Accord Sedan. Then we added the sleek style and sporty handling you want from a coupe. This simple combination is how we made the 2014 Accord Coupe the kind of unique ride you’re looking for. But it also stands out from the Accord Sedan thanks to features like an available manual 6-speed gearbox with V6 engine, larger stabilizer bars and a lowered ride height that gives the vehicle a lower centre of gravity. These work together to deliver enhanced handling and control of the Coupe’s 2.4-litre, Direct Injection DOHC, i-VTEC® 4-cylinder engine or available 3.5-litre i-VTEC V6 engine. Plus, there’s the stylish design, exceptionally comfortable cabin and total connectivity through the HondaLink™5,11,12 system. All these features add up to give the Accord Coupe a commanding presence on the road.

The award-winning design you’ve come to expect from the Accord will soon come with the eco-friendly efficiency of a hybrid sedan. Under the hood, the Accord Hybrid features a new, intelligent, two-motor hybrid powertrain which effectively pairs performance and fuel economy. This allows you to seamlessly shift through the vehicle’s three distinct driving modes: EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive. With EV Drive, the Accord goes into electronic-only mode at lower speeds. In Hybrid Drive, the 124-kilowatt electric motor and all-new 2.0-litre DOHC, i-VTEC® Atkinson cycle engine work together for powerful acceleration and improved efficiency. And Engine Drive lets you take full advantage of raw i-VTEC power. The vehicle is also loaded with the same innovative technology, safety features and elegant luxury you find in every Accord. Plus, it has its own unique exterior design, including a deck lid spoiler, a blue-accented grille and blue front headlight lenses. FORWARD COLLISION WARNING (FCW) SYSTEMThe available Forward Collision Warning4 system uses an onboard camera designed to detect the presence of vehicles in front of you and issues alerts if you’re approaching with too much speed.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (LDW) SYSTEMUsing a camera behind the rearview mirror, the available Lane Departure Warning8 system is designed to monitor vehicle lane position and alert you when you drift into a new lane without signaling.

ECON MODEThe vehicle’s fuel efficiency is further enhanced by the ECON button. One push and your Accord goes into ECON mode, automatically adjusting its engine and other auxiliary systems to go from efficient to ultra-efficient.

ECO ASSIST™ Eco Assist uses white and green bars on either side of the speedometer to show how efficiently you’re driving, allowing you to adjust your driving accordingly. The more you keep the bars green, the less gas you’ll use.

ADVANCED VARIABLE CYLINDER MANAGEMENT® (VCM®) The Accord achieves its efficient performance with the help of its VCM system, available on trims with a V6 engine with automatic transmission. It operates with 3 cylinders to enhance fuel efficiency and with 6 cylinders when greater power is needed.

As a result, the vehicle’s available engines have reduced friction and improved torque. Plus, the available transmissions sport enhanced acceleration and responsiveness through wide ratios and sporty shift programming. Together, they offer great fuel efficiency and fun-to-drive performance, all of it born from our desire to protect the environment and deliver an unforgettable driving experience.

The Accord features a 2.4-litre, 16-valve, Direct Injection DOHC, i-VTEC® 4-cylinder engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or the continuously variable transmission (CVT). Or you can opt for the 3.5-litre, 24-valve, SOHC, i-VTEC V6 engine, available on the Coupe and Sedan, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission (Coupe only). No matter which one you go for, you can enjoy an exhilarating driving experience as well as improved fuel economy.

STANDARD AIRBAGSThe Accord comes with six standard airbags, surrounding you with safety features. It features Smartvent™ side airbags, a Honda safety innovation, designed to deploy safely in a manner that helps mitigate the risk of injury to smaller occupants in the front seats. On top of all that, it features a side curtain airbag with a wider deployment profile designed to help enhance ejection mitigation.

PEDESTRIAN SAFETYInnovative pedestrian safety features include energy-absorbing hood and front fenders and breakaway wiper pivots.

CONTROLLED BRAKINGTo help with safe stopping, the 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System2 (ABS) helps you maintain control under hard braking conditions, while Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) helps to optimize braking power based on weight distribution inside the vehicle. Brake Assist further helps to improve braking performance by applying full brake pressure when a panic stop is detected.

VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST (VSA®)Vehicle Stability Assist2 with Traction Control senses and helps to correct oversteer and understeer scenarios to enhance handling and cornering stability. It also helps to minimize wheel spin when accelerating on loose or slippery surfaces, inspiring greater driver confidence.
