Before you read

1. How to use this guideline book? You may confront some difficulties when applying Taiwan’s visa,

but we will be there with you and help you finish applying for your own visa!!! Please be patient and follow the process we provide (check “General flow of visa applying”), and if you confront with any problem, feel free to contact with us.

The information and data in the guideline book is mainly for those who apply their Visa by themselves. Because Taiwan authority set a special agent for IC visa applying, we strongly suggest DGs applying their visa by themselves.

2. Suggested Timeline for Visa Application (Notice：We won’t guarantee delegates get their visa on time if they start

—Only applies to foreign visitors holding formal passports (i.e. ordinary, official/service and diplomatic passports), not including those holding emergency, temporary, other informal passports or travel documents.

2. A confirmed return air/sea ticket or an air/sea ticket and a visa for the next destination.

Rules|規定

1. Only Australia, Malaysia, Singapore are permitted 30 days of duration of stay. Others nationals are permitted 90 days of duration of stay.

2. The duration of stay starts from the next day of arrival and is not extendable. Foreign visitors must depart by the end of the said duration.

3. During the immigration inspection, foreign visitors who cannot show

a valid visa or permanent resident certificate issued by one of the aforementioned countries will not be admitted into the R.O.C.

4. Visa-exempt entry cannot be converted to other types of visas. 5. Although delegates from visa-free countries do not need any

additional Invitation Letter or other required proof for entry, IC visa team will still provide you any needed help just in case of necessary.

Conference Visa |會議簽

All countries except Visa-Exempt Entry Country, HK, Macao and China

1. Completed & signed application form online and print it out (Please access the website: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw/ and click general visa applications to fill out application form), and some information are provided below: “Conference Visa info.”

2. Two passport-size photos in color within 6 months (Photos with a

white color background)

3. A passport with validity of at least six months upon entry with blank

pages (original & photocopy)

4. Invitation Letter, IC registration confirmation

5. Ticket or electronic ticket of airplane

6. Application fee (general) is US$50

1. Nationals from the following countries applying for conference visa to the R.O.C. must submit their application at the designated R.O.C embassies：

1) Burma/Myanmar

--Only at Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand

2) Nepal

--Only at Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in New Delhi

3) India (Identity Certificate)

--Only at Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in New Delhi

2. Interview may be required when necessary.

3. The Information of embassies provided in “index” is the embassy

mainly in charge of your country, and you can consult with any

(except those nations mentioned in Rule 1.) R.O.C embassy for

applying visa.

4. Please hand out all the required documentations to the R.O.C

embassy in person, or you can ask the R.O.C embassy which you

would like to apply your visa if documentations accepted by post

mail.

5. Invitation Letter：IC visa team will provide you Invitation Letter after

official list released. Please do follow the online checking system for visa application update.

Hong Kong and Macao Visa

Only for Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Region

passport or BNO passport, visitor with passport of other

nation is not applicable.

Qualification：

1. Hong Kong and Macao permanent resident.

2. Applicant who is not born in Hong Kong and Macao, but had come to Taiwan after 1983 as a permanent resident in Hong Kong and Macao.

3. Hong Kong and Macao residents with valid entry and exit permit.

Require Documentation：

1. If you fit one of the qualifications above, applicants can log in "Immigration Department of Interior Ministry"(內政部入出國及移

民署)website of “ Hong Kong and Macao residents entry permit

online applying” (港澳居民網路申請入臺證), entered passport

information for application, internet link: https://nas.immigration.gov.tw/hkvisa/ The web page will look like：

applicants are required to present passport (at least 6-months

validation) and the return flight / ferry ticket along with the permit

for immigration inspection. Failure to comply with the

above-mentioned rule, the holder will be reject for entry.

3. The permit allows ONE entry within 3 months and with duration

of the stay 30 days starting from the next day of arrival. An

expired permit is not accepted for entry into Taiwan.

4. Please fill in the flight information, address in Taiwan, and

signature.

5. No fee is needed for online application.

Notes：

1. Permit information should be the same as your passport, if not, visitors will pay for another application or be rejected for entry

2. If online application is not allowed, please follow general paper application.

3. Visitors who are not born in Hong Kong and Macao should bring

the original permit to Taiwan for the airline inspection.

1. With permanent residence status in Hong Kong, and with no other travel license includes BNO passport or HKSAR passport.

2. 彩色个人照片档案

应为最近一年内拍摄之二吋彩色照片。

分辨率限 150~300dpi，格式为 jpg 或 jpeg。

照片宽度需介于 430 像素至 500 像素之间。

照片高度需介于 570 像素至 660 像素之间。

以头部及肩膀顶端近拍，使头部高占据整张照片高度约为三分之

二。

人像需脱帽，五官面貌清晰，正面之照片。

背景需为白色。

不得配戴深色镜片眼镜。

不得使用生活照或合成相片。

其他规格如国民身分证相片规格。

一、许可证种类及其效期：

单次入出境许可证：有效期间自核发之翌日起

算为三个月；因故未能于有效期间内入境者，应重新提出申请。

逐次加签入出境许可证：须经常来台，经主管机关或相关目的事业主管机

关认有必要者，经许可得发给逐次加签入出境许可证，其有效期间自核发

之翌日起一年或三年。逐次加签入出境许可证在有效期间内，检附原邀请

单位同意函及行程表，办理加签后，即可入出境；其加签效期自加签之翌

日起算三个月。但不得逾逐次加签入出境许可证之有效期间。

二、入出境许可证明申请书注意事项：

如果民身分证基本数据与照片同一业者，复印件贴于申请书正面。

基本数据与照片不同页者，基本资料复印件贴于申请书正面，照片

页复印件贴于申请书背面。

非初次来台者，请检附大陆居民往来台湾通行证复印件或其他载有

英文姓名之身分证明文件复印件。初次来台者或未持有英文姓名之

身分证明文件者，务必于申请书上详细填正确英文姓名。

三、簽证费用(单次及逐次加签入出境证)：

Q: Can I apply my Visa by travel agencies? A: That depends on whether the embassies accept it or not, you can ask the R.O.C embassy which you would like to apply your visa if documentations accepted by post mail. (Super Important－Make sure
