Hi! We are Emma James and Bailey Rivera, the design duo behind Antiquaria. We absolutely love paper, design and calligraphy so it’s no surprise that when we met,

we immediately knew that we had to collaborate. We launched Antiquaria in 2010and have been honing our craft and making beautiful paper ever since.

It’s our philosophy that wedding stationery should be anything but ordinary. Your paper goods should be as mind-blowingly awesome as you and your betrothed.

We strive to create stationery that is not only the highest quality but reflects our uniquevintage-yet-modern design aesthetic.

We hope that this catalogue will answer all of your questions about our design process.Don’t be shy though..... If you have additional questions or would just like to say hello,

we look forward to hearing from you.

We believe that stationery should be as unique and special as the couple sending it!Our design process begins with a consultation either in person (for clients in either Los Angeles or Austin) by phone, skype or email. We can’t wait to collaborate with you and want to hear all about

your wedding plans, how you met, what inspires you and what your dream wedding stationery would look like! Any visuals are always helpful - we know your Pinterest Board is probably to-die-for.

Many of our Collection Designs are for sale on our website and you are more than welcome to place your order directly through our website. Don’t worry - your order doesn’t disappear into a black void - it’s received by Emma and Bailey and handled with care. We will email you as soon as we receive the order to let you know we’re on it. Not comfortable placing such a big order via our website? That’s ok, most our clients often have more questions or want our expert advice on their invitations, and we handle many orders offline. We recommend emailing us to say hello and that you’re interested in our invitations. We will set up a phone consultation or converse via email to answer all your questions and custom tailor an order just for you. We will then send you a custom invoice for the order via PayPal.

Once payment and all of the wording is received, we will send you PDF proofs of your order for your approval (2-3 business days for Collection, 3-5 business days for Semi-Custom, 8-10 business days for Bespoke). One design option will be presented for Collection and Semi-Bespoke orders and 2-3 design options will be presented for Bespoke order. Two rounds of complimentary* revisions (bespoke orders are allowed 3 rounds of revisions) can be made to correct any grammatical or spelling changes (design revisions may be subject to additional proofing fees). Further revisions will incur additional proofing fees on a case by case basis.Because the scope of our services varies greatly, we do not have set pricing for additional fees, how-ever below is a general guideline we use for pricing design revisions: *Design Intensive Revisions (excluded from complimentary revisions) range between $25-150. Examples of these types of revisions are: ~ Changes to Hand-Lettering & Calligraphy: Your wording should be finalized before calligraphy is executed. Any wording changes after initial proofs are completed will require additional proofing fees. ~ Hand-Lettering style revisions. ~ Revisions to hand drawn artwork. ~ Additional monogram design options ~ Complete re-design/switch design Standard Revisions for rounds of proofs beyond the first complementary set range between $0-25. Examples of simple revisions are: Typeset wording changes, minor design or layout changes and color changes.

It is the client’s responsibility to review the proof for misspellings and any other mistakes or chang-es.Revisions can be requested by email or by setting up a phone consultation. We require a written approval to send the proofs to production.

Once your order is 100% perfect and approved for production, we will send it off to the printer to have it produced. Production typically takes 2-3 weeks. Once your order is printed, we look it over and make sure that it’s perfect. The order is then packed and shipped to your doorstep.

Don’t forget about the finishing touches! The outer envelope will be the first glimpse your guests get of your invitations and it should be just as spectacular as what’s inside.

Paying attention to these little details will make all the difference.

W E I G H Y O U R I N V I T A T I O N SBefore you start purchasing your postage, take a finished sample to the post office and have your postmaster weigh and mea-sure the invitation to see how much post-age you will need. Wedding invitations typically weigh more than is allowed with a regular first class stamp. If you have a lot of pieces in your suite, the envelope can also sometimes be too thick and require extra postage. Our letterpress paper is thicker than allowed for a postcard stamp, so if you’ve opted for a letterpress reply postcard, be sure to put a forever stamp on it vs. a postcard stamp!

C H O O S I N G Y O U R P O S T A G E :Consider the style and colors in your suite, when choosing your postage. Choose colors or themes (like birds or states) that coordinate with your suite. You can choose to use new stamps, a combo of new and vintage or all vintage. Below are a few resources for finding postage:

N E W S T A M P S :USPS.com

V I N T A G E S T A M P S : Verde Studio on Etsy (they will curate postage sets for you if you email them what you are looking for)

Ebay (search UN-USED US Postage)

Hand-written addressing is always the best option for your invitations. Address them yourself, enlist a family member with nice handwriting or hire a calligra-pher. Other acceptable options for ad-dressing include laser printing (addresses are printed directly on the envelopes) or Icing Labels (a fancy wrap around label which looks especially nice if you have dark envelopes).

H I R I N G A C A L L I G R A P H E R :Find someone locally or ask us for rec-ommendations. Calligraphy addressing usually costs between $2.50-5.00 per enve-lope. Calligraphers tend to get booked in advance so if this is something you have your heart set on, be sure to book your calligrapher well in advance. Turnaround times vary depending on the calligrapher. We do offer calligraphy addressing but on a very limited basis.

D I G I T A L A D D R E S S I N G :Pricing typically ranges between $0.75-2.50 per envelope. Ask us for a list of our preferred vendors or check with your local print shop. Antqiuaria does not offer digital address-ing services.

I C I N G L A B E L S :Check with you local printer or Etsy.Antiquaria does not offer label printing at the time.

A L W A Y S H A N D C A N C E LYour invitations are addressed, sealed and ready to mail! Yay!Before you drive by the post office and shove them all into that blue box, consider taking the extra steps to have them hand-canceled. Hand canceling means that the postmaster uses a stamp to cancel each envelope by hand versus hav-ing it run through the machine (resulting in an unsightly bar code across the bottom of your invitation).Technically, the post office charges extra for hand canceling so be prepared with extra postage. In our experience, if you ask really nicely, they will usually let you borrow the stamp and do it yourself at the counter. Either way, it’s worth the time and extra cost!

Our Wedding Stationery Collection is a compilation of our favorite and most popular designs. The designs are sold as shown, making them the most affordable.A complimentary set of proofs will be presented via email for your approval. This option includes one round of limit-ed revisions to correct any grammatical errors. If revisions are requested involving changes to the design or layout, addition-al proofing fees may apply. Proofing fees vary depending on the complexity of the changes requested.

Timing: 4-6 weeks

Pricing: starts at $784 for 100 Letterpress Invitation Suites and $515 for Flat Printed Suites (suite includes 1 color A7 invita-tion with blank envelopes + 1 color reply postcards)

Do you love our Collection Designs as a starting point but need a few tweaks to make it your own? With Semi-Custom design, we will work with you tocustomize an existing design to make it suit your needs. Whether it’s combining a few of our Collection Designs, adding/removing design motifs, creating custom patterns or simply customizing fonts/colors beyond the standard options, this is the design package for you. One initial design option will be presented via email for your approval. This option includes one round of limit-ed revisions to correct any grammatical errors. If revisions are requested involving changes to the design or layout, addition-al proofing fees may apply. Proofing fees vary depending on the complexity of the changes requested.

Timing: 4-6 weeks

Do you have a specific design concept in mind or just want us to create something totally original for you? A Bespoke invita-tion suite will be best for you. With Bespoke Design, we start from scratch and create a completely original design that is custom tailored just for you. After our design consultation, we will get started on your project. Please allow 8-10 business days to receive the first round of proofs (will present two to three design options, emailed to you as a color pdf file for your review). You will then have the opportunity to provide feedback and iden-tify any changes that you want to make or new ideas you may wish to incorporate. You may send your comments via email or we can discuss them over the phone. We schedule up to three rounds of com-plimentary design changes. Please note that design intensive revisions may be subject to additional proofing fees (these generally include a complete re-design or a significant amount of hand lettering or illustration).

Timing: 6-8 weeks

Pricing: Pricing can vary greatly depend-ing on the scope of the job, quantity and number of pieces included in the suite, pricing typically ranges $30-50 per suite.

We can help you with all your stationery needs for the day of your event. Contact us for more information aboutprograms, menus, table numbers, escort cards or anything else you might need.

WILL I GET TO SEE PROOFS BEFORE THE ORDER IS PRODUCED?Yes! After your payment is made and all of the infor-mation regarding your order is received (ie wording, dates, times, addresses etc.) You will receive your initial set of proofs within 2-3 business days for Col-lection, 3-5 business days for Semi-Custom and 8-10 business days for Bespoke. You will use the proofs to verify the layout, spelling and font choices for your project.

WHAT IF I HAVE CHANGES ON MY PROOFS? HOW DOES PROOFING WORK? One round of complimentary* revisions can be made to correct any grammatical or spelling changes (design revisions may be subject to additional proof-ing fees). Bespoke clients are allotted 2-3 rounds of complimentary revisions. Further revisions will incur additional proofing fees on a case by case basis. Because the scope of our services varies greatly, we do not have set pricing for additional fees, however below is a general guideline we use for pricing design revisions: *Design Intensive Revisions (excluded from complimentary revisions) range between $25-150. Examples of these types of revisions are:Changes to hand-lettering & calligraphy: Your word-ing should be finalized before calligraphy is executed, hand-lettering style revisions, changes to hand drawn artwork, additional monogram options, complete re-design /switch design Standard Revisions for rounds of proofs beyond the first complementary set range between $0-25.Examples of simple revisions are: Typeset wording changes, minor design or layout changes and color changes.

It is the client’s responsibility to review the proof for misspellings and any other mistakes or changes.Revisions can be requested by email or by setting up a phone consultation. We require a written approval to send the proofs to production.

DO YOU OFFER RETURN ADDRESS PRINTING?Yes, letterpress return address printing is available for fluorescent white, pearl white, and ecru envelopes. Flat return address printing is available for all other colored envelopes. Pricing is dependent on printing method and quantity. Please contact us for pricing. For clients on a budget, stamping your return address with one of our customized return address stamps is a great option.

What’s the Deal?Where you’ve seen us!

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN US

HOW LONG DOES AN INVITATION ORDER TAKE?Proofing typically takes 1-2 weeks for Collection and Semi-Custom orders, and 4-6 weeks for Bespoke. Once the order is approved, production takes 2-3 weeks. We ship USPS priority mail (2-3 days for domestic shipments). Overall, the process generally takes 4-6 weeks for Collection and Semi-Custom and 6-8 weeks for Bespoke. However, no precise time frame is guaranteed as it ultimately depends on how long the proofing process takes, which varies for each couple.

CAN I SEE INVITATION SAMPLES IN PERSON?We carry a sample pack of printed pieces, which is available in our shop (the cost of the samples can be credited towards an invitation order). The kit includes a variety of printed pieces (A9 & A7 invitations, save the date etc). The goal of our sample kit is to give you a better idea of what our printed products looks like (paper, print process etc). We do not stock samples of each invitation, in every color, but if there is some-thing particular you would like to see, let us know - we might have one to send you. We’d also be happy to meet in person to show samples (available for Austin, TX or Los Angeles, CA).

CAN I CHANGE THE FONTS ON THE DESIGNS?In an effort to keep our design affordable, all of our designs are priced “as-is”. That being said, we would be happy to work with you to customize the designs. Please contact us for pricing and font options, as a change in the design may or may not mean an adjust-ment in the cost.

WHAT IS CALLIGRAPHY/HAND LETTERING VS. FONT?Some of our designs include accents of hand-written Calligraphy. Our in-house calligrapher, Bailey, hand-writes these portions then scans them and converts them to vector art for optimal production quality. Unlike a font, with calligraphy, every word is unique and no two letters are the same. The end result looks similar to a cursive font but way more awesome!

WHAT IS LETTERPRESS VS. FLAT PRINTING?Letterpress printing is an age-old technique of relief printing with a plate (the design is pressed into the paper) using a printing press. Flat printing, as you would guess, is flat printed using either a laser printer or an HP Indigo press.

HOW MUCH CAN I CHANGE A DESIGN I FIND ON YOUR WEBSITE?In an effort to keep our design affordable, all of our designs are priced “as-is”. That being said we would be happy to modify designs for you! We work with clients all the time to tailor an invitation suite to their specific needs. We are here to help so please contact us and tell us what you have in mind. Additional design fees may apply.

CAN I CHANGE THE WORDING ON THEINVITATION?Yes, absolutely! Most wording can be easily accom-modated with all of our designs. Some are more flexible than others, so please email us to confirm if you are unsure. In order to keep the visual balance of the design, we generally suggest not adding more than three additional lines of text to any invitation.

CAN I CHANGE THE WORDING ON THE REPLY CARD?Yes! Most wording changes are easily accommodated. We can add entree selections, multiple reply options or other information needed to practically any design. If you have any specific questions please let us know. We are here to help!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 300GSM AND 600GSM PAPER?300gsm paper is our standard letterpress stock. It’s thick and beautiful. 600gsm paper is twice as thick (think cardboard coaster thick) and makes any invita-tion super luxurious.

I SAW A DESIGN ELSEWHERE THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, CAN YOU RE-CREATE IT?We don’t like it when designers copy our work so we take special care not to do so to others. We will take inspiration from other designs and interpret it into our own original way (the end result looking com-pletely different from the original inspiration) but we will not copy someone else’s work. If you have seen a design that you just can’t live without, we recommend contacting the original artist.

ARE YOU GREEN? We certainly do our best! We use mostly 100% cotton paper or paper with at least 30% recycled content.
