They ranked 3rd in the NAIA in total defense, allowing 279.8 yards per game. The rush defense ranked 5th (111.7 yds/gm) while the pass defense was 12th (168.1 yds/ gm). The Falcons allowed 18.6 points per game, 8th fewest in the NAIA in 2013.

Saturday evening marks the kickoff of the 2014 season for both teams. The two squads met last year in Wichita, Kansas, for the first time with the Falcons winning 24-21 in overtime.

Scouting Friends... the Falcons averaged 250.6 yards a game on the ground and will look to returning offensive linemen Jacob Allan and DJ Crager to lead the way once again this season. Fullback Cameron Brandon will also play a key roll in blocking for the run game. If the Falcons turn to the air, look for Chris Allen to be one of the targets.

Friends was successful on 3rd down conversions as they converted on 41.5-percent of their opportunities. The Falcons scored 32.7 points per game, 21st in the NAIA.
