The western Gazette is delighted to announce an event to celebrate the achievements of young people in our area.

The Gold Star awards are being held for the second time as a partnership between the Western Gazette and South Somerset District Council after the success of our 2013 event.

They encapsulate the Western Gazette’s YoungStars initiative and the council’s Gold Star Awatds which have been running for several years to recognise the unsung heroes of the community.

These awards really focus on the amazing feats of youngsters up to the age of 18. There are also a handful of awards to recognise adults who work with young people in a voluntary capacity.

This is a marvellous opportunity for the local community to recognise that we have some wonderful young people living amongst us and that children and young adults are our future.

This year’s Gold Star Awards promises to be an inspirational event, one that will leave us with a feeling of great sense of pride and warmth.

This document outlines some of the sponsorship opportunities we have available for you to be involved in this year’s event. We hope you support the initiate and look forward to working with you on the 2014 Gold Star Awards.
