Page 2: 2014 JF&CS Annual Report

DEAR FRIENDS,

For 150 years, JF&CS has focused on a singular, powerful mission: to improve people’s lives. Our goal is to provide a full continuum of care – from prevention to intervention and remediation – and to help people acquire skills to create practical pathways to physical, emotional, and financial independence.

Every day, people in our community face challenges that can feel overwhelming. Whether it’s a family struggling to put food on the table, a young mom unable to bond with her baby, parents not knowing how to help their child with autism, or an aging parent – JF&CS is the agency people turn to for personalized care that improves the quality of life.

Today, JF&CS has the greatest breadth of social services under one roof in New England. With a comprehensive network of 40 programs, we’re able to serve more than 200 communities in Massachusetts and help people of all faiths, races, and ages. Last year alone, we provided direct service to more than 17,000 parents and children, people with disabilities, seniors, and those in need of food, housing, financial assistance, and more. When we consider that multiple lives are touched by helping a single person, we estimate that JF&CS has improved the quality of life for more than five million people throughout our 150 year history!

This 2014 annual report is dedicated to the countless volunteers, donors, and supporters who have enabled us to have a positive impact on millions of lives through the decades. Thank you for all you do. With your support, we look forward to accomplishing more together in the next 150 years.

Sincerely,

Rimma Zelfand Robin NeitermanChief Executive Officer Board President, 2013-2015

It is with deep gratitude that we recognize our good friends in the community who have contributed $500 or more to Jewish Family & Children’s Service between October 1, 2013 and September 30, 2014, our Fiscal Year 2014. These contributions, along with those of all of our supporters, provide critical funds that enable our agency to provide the greatest breadth of social services under one roof throughout New England, and to be a source of support to the thousands of people we serve each year.
