CHESNUTTM
CHESNUTTM product family is a new generation of software configured Indoor Unit optimized especially for high speed transmissionswith the use of “Extension Multiplexer Module” (EMM) its function can be extended to universal hybrid system for mixed PDH andEthernet transmission. Thanks to the software scalable concept this system permits you the optimal selection of appropriatemodification in terms of your actually required application. The system provides full range of modulation schemesfrom QPSK to 265QAM and data throughput rates up to 730 Mbps.
Hitless adaptive modulation (ACM) along with Synchronous Ethernet support, AES data encryption, secure management accessand other additional functions open new area of IP based applications CHESNUTTM family of indoor units are equipped withintegrated Ethernet switch with three Cooper 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports for direct connection of user data.
The same Ethernet switch contains additional internal port which is reserved for connection to management CPU and two EthernetWAN ports. These are generally dedicated for data transmission over microwave link. Switch can be optionally divided into two orthree separate domains. Such configuration can ensure complete traffic separation of different data sources. Additionally two SFPports are integrated in IDU, where first one is reserved for IDUs interconnection (2+0 or 1+1 scheme) and second one can be usedas additional ETH port and/or extension port reserved for EMM module connection.
CHESNUTTM is delivered in unified hardware configuration with possibility to order different software designs or options and therebygradually change system function to the mode which exactly conform to momentary customer requirements. According to theuploaded Software License Key system offers appropriate list of designs, options and other functions.
Following SW designs and/or options are available for COMPACT-UNI Indoor Unit:
SINGLE – firmware which gives basic Ethernet functionality.One WAN ETH channel is available for over air transmission with highest possible throughput. MULTI – firmware which is prepared for mix of PDH/ETH or for multichannel ETH applications. AGGREGATED – firmware which offers 2+0 functionality. Two IDUs must be interconnected by means of SFP modules and fibreoptic cable. The main difference compared to standard Ethernet trunking is true capacity increase which doesn't depend on MACheader of IP packet. PROTECTED – firmware which ensures 1+1. Two IDUs must be interconnected by means of SFP modules and fibre optic cable.Such protection offers 1+1 in HSB and SD modes.AES-128 OPTION – additional traffic encryption feature according to AES-128 definition.IEEE-1588 OPTION – additional support of precision time protocol according to IEEE 1588 definition.
