If you’re a homeowner, you work hard to pay for your home. Maybe it’s time to put your home to work for you – with a Home Equity Line of Credit from HUECU.
For a limited time, the Credit Union is of-fering an incredibly low introductory rate of 1.99% APR for the first twelve months on all Home Equity Lines1. After the introductory period, you will enjoy a rate .26% below prime (currently 2.99% APR) for the remaining life of your line.
You can borrow up to 80% of your home’s value with a maximum credit line of $200,000. Other benefits of an HUECU Home Equity Line of Credit include:
• No annual fees
• No closing costs2
• No Pre-Payment Penalties
• Ten-year draw followed by ten-year repayment
• Variety of convenient payment options
Borrowing with a Home Equity Line offers two key advantages:
1) The interest rate will be lower – usually much lower-than what you’d pay on a credit card or personal loan.
2) The interest you pay is usually tax deductible, which further reduces the cost of borrowing.
Drawing from your Home Equity Line of Credit is easy. You can transfer the funds directly to your HUECU checking account using Online Banking or the HUECU Mobile App. You can also call the Contact Center or visit an HUECU branch to have a Credit Union representative complete your request.
Visit huecu.org to learn more about what an HUECU Home Equity Line of Credit can do for you or to apply online. If you would like to speak to one of our loan experts, feel free to call us at (617) 495.4460 or visit an HUECU branch. To take advantage of the 1.99% APR introductory rate, applications must be received by June 30, 2014.

MGH Employees Start Boston Marathon Fund A group of MGH Blake nurses were among the many health care professionals who provided care for victims of last year’s Boston Marathon bombing.
The bravery and tenacity of the victims and their families inspired these nurses to get involved. The nurses on “Team Blake” will run in this year’s marathon to raise money for a victim relief fund.
HUECU was contacted to set up an account for the fund and was happy to support their efforts with a donation.
The check was presented by MGH Branch Manager, Paul Conners, CEO and President
Gene Foley, and Director Guillermo Banchiere. We wish you all the best of luck Team Blake!

Not a bank. A benefit.
¹ After the first 12 billing cycles the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is variable and will be equal to the Prime Lending Rate as published in the Wall Street Journal minus .26% (currently 2.99%). Maximum APR is 18%. ² If you close the line within 24 months from date of note, you will reimburse HUECU the amount of waived fees. Adequate property and/or flood insurance may be required. Subject to credit approval. Rates subject to change without notice.

The 75th HUECU Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 26th.
The meeting will include the distribution of the 2013 Annual Report and
presentations by HUECU’s President & CEO, Board Chairman, and Board
Treasurer.
Voting for the annual Board of Directors election will be held from noon until
6pm and the results will be announced during the meeting. Any member over
18 years old who joined prior to December 25, 2013 is eligible to vote.
Unlike for-profit companies, HUECU’s Directors are all unpaid volunteers who
give their time to represent the best interests of the entire HUECU community.
Our Credit Union is governed by a 15-person board and every Director is
also an HUECU member. Their role includes giving strategic direction and
formulating responsible policies and procedures. They also have fiduciary
responsibility to ensure the Credit Union is financially sound.
This year, there are seven candidates running for five open positions, including
four incumbent Directors running for re-election and three new candidates.
Candidate bios and complete voting rules are available at huecu.org.
The Annual Meeting is open to all HUECU members.
