    Scholarships forinternational students

    The University of Melbourne values the contributions

    made by our international students and is committed tosupporting high-quality applicants through a range ofscholarships and awards.

    Your status as an international studentis based on your citizenship, not whereyou have studied.

    You are an international student if you are:

    Not an Australian or New Zealandcitizen, and

    Not an Australian permanent resident

    (including holders of Australianpermanent humanitarian visas).

    The following scholarships are availableto international undergraduate studentscommencing at the University ofMelbourne in 2014.

    MELBOURNE INTERNATIONALUNDERGRADUATESCHOLARSHIPS

    Benets

    There are several types of scholarshipscurrently available:

    10 x 100% fee remissionscholarships valued up toapproximately $138 000 for thenormal duration of an undergraduatedegree (excluding honours year), or

    10 x 50% fee remission scholarshipsvalued up to approximately$69 000 for the normal duration ofan undergraduate degree (excludinghonours year), or

    An additional range of scholarshipstotalling $300 000 available forinternational students,Qand

    Up to $2500 for approved overseas

    Eligibility

    Awarded on the basis of academic merit.

    Have received an unconditional offerfor a 2014 undergraduate course

    Citizen of a country other thanAustralia or New Zealand

    Have not previously undertaken any

    tertiary studies.

    Australian permanent residents andNew Zealand citizens are not eligible.

    No student is permitted to hold feeremission scholarships from separatesources with a total value of more than100% of the fee for the relevant course.

    Scholarships, bursaries and employmentare all on offer to new and continuingresidents.
