CLASS FORMAT Weekly videoconferencing, taking turns for the lead. The Videoconferencing (VC) sessions are held weekly for 40mins. The first week is led by an Australian school, meaning Australian students do 2 presentations, followed by Korean students’ questions, and lead the Activity part. The next week is led by a Korean school, i.e., Korean students do 2 presentations, followed by Australian students’ questions, and lead the Activity. Power Point slides. Power Point slides must have pictures and/or visual images, and 2) keywords/phrases/sentences so that students of the partner school can understand the presentation contents more easily. PPt slides must be sent to the partner school teacher at least the day before the VC class. Activity. The Activity can be: music performance (e.g., Marimba performance, Korean traditional music performance), talent shows, teaching folksongs (e.g., Waltzing Matilda, Arirang), demonstrating cooking (e.g., how to make Kimbab), demonstrating dance or martial arts (e.g., Taekwondo), and magic shows. Class format:
Check audio/video qualities and PPt slides (5 mins). Presentation 1 (5 mins) + Q&A (5 mins) 10 mins Presentation 2 (5 mins) + Q&A (5 mins) 10 mins Activity: 10 mins. Open Discussion: 5mins. Total 40mins.
