Greetings Friends of Newman Catholic SchoolsIt’s our 27th Winter Wonderland Auction! This year we are in full celebration of the wonderful education provided to students by Newman Catholic Schools. Our great students from the very youngest to the Senior Class are receiving a wonderful Catholic school education thanks to our generous supporters.
Thank you for being a part of the 2014 Newman Catholic Schools’ Winter Wonderland Auction and in helping our schools and early childhood centers continue to grow and flourish! To our guests, staff and volunteers, thank you for your generous support! Your kindness, care and shared treasures are a blessing to us all.
Outstanding Catholic faith formation and great academic learning are the heart of the Newman Catholic Schools’ tradition of excellence. Each individual student is the reason why this auction is so important.
We are grateful for your support and partnership in helping achieve this year’s goal of $200,000. Tonight’s auction enables Newman Catholic Schools to fulfill its commitments to our wonderful students, dedicated and awesome teachers and staff. Your generosity does make a difference.
So tonight let’s make a difference and enjoy an evening of fun, fellowship and laughter! The rules for the night are simple: bid high and bid often. God bless.
Yours in Christ,
Dr. Janet M. Klosinski, President

Meet the AuctioneerUpon college graduation, Bob Melvin (WI #2834) jumped into the corporate world to lend his outgoing personality and newly earned management degree to two Fortune 500 companies, ServiceMaster and Pepsi-Cola. Thirteen years later, he found himself bored to tears.
A chance conversation at church led him to his passion. “Ever considered becoming an auctioneer, Bob?” asked the president of a local firm. “Doesn't everyone?” was Bob's wisecrack response.
After more serious consideration and due diligence, Bob enrolled in auction school and worked to develop his signature chant. In 1999, less than ten years later, he celebrated winning a state auctioneer championship.
As a team member of benefit auctioneer Sherry Truhlar (WI #2740-52), Bob works with schools and non-profits around the country, guiding volunteers and planners in producing profitable fundraising auctions.
