A way of thinking, rather than a body of facts and knowledge…with huge potential to change the way in which individuals and societies experience the world around us.
Why Citizen Science?
We therefore believe that opportunities to participate in the advancement of science - in its broadest sense, should be available to as many people as possible instead of limited to a select few.
Whose project is it anyway?
Narrow & deep – or shallow & wide? Who chooses?
Give the data back (to be an ethical scientist, even though you own the data for 15 years…)
Raise student motivation & aspiration
Help deliver other school agendas e.g. Green schools, Growing Up Wild
