Three Islands Canoe Expedition Ko Tapu, Ko Panak, Ko Kudu or Ko Nok

Full Day This trip will take you to three different Islands.

Ko Tapu known as, James Bond Island, is the biggest tourist attraction at Phang Nga Bay National Park. This is where the, 1974, James Bond movie starring, Roger Moore, Man with the Golden Gun, was shot. There are in fact two islands, side by side, that vie to be called James Bond Island. The one generally accepted as the true title holder is Koh Khao Phing Kan, whose name means Island of the Leaning Mount. Secondly you will have the opportunity to explore the hidden world of Ko Panak’s tidal caves and lagoons.

Thousands of years old stalactites and stalagmites can be seen inside the caves. If you are lucky you might even spot some wild monkeys around the Island. Finally after sightseeing and canoeing through the tunnels we will bring you to the deserted Island of either Ko Kudu (small Island off the northern most tip of Ko Yao Noi) or Ko Nok (15 min south of Koyao Island Resort) for your picnic lunch and a swim off the beautiful beach. Recommended departure time for this trip is 6:00am to avoid crowds on James Bond Island and canoe traffic jams in Ko Panak. Itinerary

Depart Koyao Island Resort by traditional Thai long tail boat Arrival at Ko Tapu, which is the Thai word for pin, but is now simply known as James Bond Island Boat transfer to Ko Panak. Canoe into the caves and along the Island’s edges to see the spectacular formations. If time and tides permits visit another cave by foot or canoe Transfer to Ko Kudu or Ko Nok, depending on wind and sea conditions for lunch and a swim Return to the Resort

Ao Thalene Mangrove Canoe and Phak Bia Beach Full Day

Combine the best of both worlds. Canoeing through the mangrove forest of Ao Thalene situated between high limestone cliffs, followed by some relaxation time on one of the stunning beaches or Phang Nga Bay. This participating kayaking day tour provides the perfect way to explore the

natural eco-friendly environment of Ao Thalane, known in Thai as Muddy Bay. It is a karst-walled canyon that paddlers negotiate by either entering or exiting the mangrove estuaries that make Ao Thalane so scenic and unique. Adventure kayaking in Thailand's Ao Thalane is a magical experience, best viewed slowly and in silence. This is the oldest exposed rock in all of Krabi. The sandstone was formed before the ancient reefs and shells of marine organisms, which make up today’s limestone karsts, were laid down upon it. More than 300 million years old, the ancient sandstone has been eroded by wind and waves into sensuous shapes while mineral deposits have painted it in a hundred hues from pink and rose to mauve and cream. To kayak at Ao Thalane is to find the solace in nature so many seek. Pak Bia

Ko Phi Phi Full Day

Ko Phi Phi National Park consists of several small islands of which Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley are the most popular. Phi Phi Don offers some very spectacular beaches and snorkeling sites. Phi Phi Ley’s Maya Bay became world famous after the movie, The Beach, came out in 2000. This white sandy beach and light blue water makes a perfect natural swimming pool. Ko Phi Phi is located just southeast of the Phang Nga Bay. Transfers to and from Phi Phi take approximately one and a half hours and this excursion can only be arranged with good

weather and calm seas. The Phi Phi Islands are administratively part of Krabi Province. Ko Phi Phi Don is the largest island of the group, and is the only island with permanent inhabitants, although the beaches of the second largest island, Phi Phi Leh, are visited by many people too. Ko Kai (Egg Island) Full day

Koh Kai is one of the islands that belong to

Taru-tao marine national park. The name Koh Kai (literally means ‘Egg island’) was given to the island not only for the sea turtles climbing up the shore to lay eggs every year, but also for the colour of the sand that is as white as egg shells. Despite its small size, Koh Kai is on the top rank of beautiful and famous islands in the Satun archipelago. The highlight of Koh Kai that one should not miss for any reason is the gigantic natural stone arch. The gate in the middle is large enough to pass beneath easily.

Apart from the stone arch, there is another scenic point at the south end of the island where you can simply make you way from the western shore. Once you reach a mound of rocks, it requires a little climb to get to the view point. From the top, you can look down on the beauty of the coastline that connects the two beaches together. This looks exactly like Koh Phi Phi’s separated sea, and also allows you to experience another splendid side of Koh Kai. This excursion will take you to some of the most spectacular snorkeling spots of this region. Observing the abundant marine life around Egg Island is truly a magical experience and even rare animals such as dolphins can occasionally be seen here.

Ko Gai, Ko Poda and Ko Daeng (Chicken Island) Full Day

Chicken Island is the nickname for Koh Kai, a

small islet off the shore in Krabi Province. It got its name from the strange rock formation at one tip of the island that looks like the head and neck of an ostrich, chicken or a similar member of the fowl family. One end of the island consists of steep cliffs, while the other end has beautiful beaches along a peninsula. At high tide, this peninsula gets flooded, creating a small island. There is no accommodation on Chicken Island. Chicken Island offers excellent snorkeling opportunities in its warm and clear water which is rich in coral.

Koh Poda is a small island no more than a kilometer in diameter, covered in palm trees and almost entirely encircled by a soft white sand beach. A coral reef lies about 20 meters from the beach with a rich variety of sea life. The combination of excellent snorkeling, scenery and soft sand make the island an irresistible choice with snorkelers and day trippers, but surprisingly, it's not that crowded. snorkeling around Ko Daeng (Red Island) Itinerary

Krabi Province Tiger Cave and Khlong Thom

Full Day Discover some of the beautiful sights that the Krabi province has to offer.

Tiger Cave Temple or Wat Tham Sua offers a genuine spiritual experience in stunning natural surroundings. Located close to Krabi town this is one of Thailand’s finest natural wonders and definitely worth a visit. The temple here is a warren of natural caves formed within a lush jungle and home to monks who worship and live in this beautiful environment. There are interesting icons and relics in the main temple cave but the real attraction here is the ‘footprint of the Buddha’. To get to this historic site you need to hike 1,272 steps up a limestone tower which is a challenging climb especially in the Thai climate. Those who

make it to the top are compensated with panoramic 360 degree views of the amazing Andaman Sea, tropical islands, dramatic limestone cliff formations, verdant rainforests and ‘the Buddha’s footprint’. The incomparable vistas are particularly stunning at sunrise and sunset which is also the best time to climb up and avoid the heat and humidity. (Please remember when visiting the Wat Tham Sua that both men and women are required to cover their shoulders and knees. This is a sign of respect. Please also refrain from wearing yellow, orange or red clothing. Kindly adhere to all signs posted.) After lunch it is time for some relaxing at the Khlong Thom fresh water pools and hot streams, where you will find some of the clearest water you have ever seen. Located about 70 kilometres from Krabi town, the hot springs are in the heart of a small jungle preserve and close to the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve. Situated in the same reserve as the Emerald Pool and Thung Teao Forest Natural Park. Therapeutic and soothing, the Krabi Hot Springs are ‘hot tubs’ crafted into smooth rock channelling water from deep rooted thermal springs located in volcanic chambers. The waters average 35-40 degree Celsius and are brimming with natural mineral salts which are claimed to cure all manner of health complaints including rheumatism and sciatica. The sensation is utterly relaxing and the environment is certainly unique, imagine sitting in a bath tub hollowed out from nature’s stone and surrounded by rainforest. These jungle baths feed into a cool stream which is perfect for dipping and diving into.

Itinerary

Depart Koyao Island Resort by traditional Thai long tail boat After arrival on the mainland a taxi driver will take you to Wat Thom Sua or Tiger Cave Temple Lunch at a local restaurant Drive to Khlong Thom’s fresh water pools and hot streams to swim and relax Back to the pier where the 17:00pm speedboat ferry takes you back to Ko Yao Noi and a Tuk Tuk back to Koyao Island Resort

Fishing Phang Nga Bay Full day Go fishing in the Phang Nga Bay with one of our guides. Catch some of the local fish and make it your dinner that evening. Squid, snapper or barracuda are the fish to be caught here. One of the easier fish to catch in Phang Nga Bay is the Barracuda. The easiest way to locate and catch them is by trolling. Once you catch one, you can stop and cast around to see if there is a school. The larger ones tend to travel alone, but the small to medium size barracudas often travel in schools. Jack Trevally often come into the bay. During the summer months, big trevally come into the bay more frequently. You can see their dorsal fins break the surface. There’s nothing more exciting than seeing a trevally fin, then casting to it and setting the hook! When the wind is blowing hard, the mangrove channels offer a nice retreat. The best time to fish in the mangrove is on an incoming (flood) tide. High tide is second best and falling tide can still produce some catches. The many mangrove channels and tidal rivers (especially in the northern reaches of Phang Nga Bay) offer Barramundi (Lates calcarifer), Crocodile Longtom (Tylosurus crocodilus), Barracuda, some species of grouper (mostly smaller specimen), a couple of shark species and the Grey Mullet, which is very common. Out in the deeper water of the bay and outside of the mouth of the bay, you can catch Sea Bass, Red Snapper, Barracuda, shark, mackerel, Rainbow Runners, Queenfish (croaker family), Dorado (Mahi Mahi, Dolphin) and other fish. Further out you can catch some pelagic species, including small tuna! Catching a tuna, even a small one, from the seat of a kayak is a real thrill… especially if you like being towed around for a long time. Speaking of being towed around, this is one of the big benefits of kayak fishing. You can catch fish on lighter tackle than you would on a typical 'charter' type fishing trip. Your kayak is nimble and it's easy to chase down a big fish once hooked. Itinerary

Depart from Koyao Island Resort by traditional Thai long tail boat Find the best fishing spots in the Bay Have lunch on board or on a deserted beach Return to the Resort and deliver your ‘Catch of the Day’, and dinner, to the kitchen

Tour includes: Boat transfer, marine park fees, fishing equipment, English speaking guide, towels, fresh fruit, water and soft drinks. Please remember to bring: swimwear, sun lotion, sunglasses and your camera Availability and schedule differs daily due to weather conditions and the tides
