Students wanting to repeat a course must meet with their counselor for prior approval

Students must register for the “A” and “B” part of courses

Transcript Information

Subject – Lists each subject area and courses taken

Earned Credits – The number of credits in a subject area that you have earned toward graduation

To be Earned – The number of credits that you are currently

taking or will take during this school year

Required English courses by grade:

Students take… Grade 9 - English 9 A & B

Grade 10 – English 10 A & B or AP Language & Composition

Grade 11 – English 11 A & Bor AP Lit/Composition or College Reading & Writing

Grade 12 – English 12 A & Bor AP Lit/Composition or College Reading & Writing

Review English course descriptions: Choose your next year English classes. Record your

choices on the colored pre-registration sheet. There are several English elective courses offered.

Be sure to consider them when registering for elective credits.

Registration Guide Clarification: Students taking A.P. Literature & Composition must meet requirements for concurrent classes (upper 1/3 of your class as junior and upper 1/2 as senior and passing score on Accuplacer) in which you will earn 6 concurrent credits through Anoka-Ramsey Community College.

What to do if you failed English in the past: If 9th grade English was failed, you

must retake in summer school or at the ALC

If a 10th or 11th grade course was failed, you should sign up for the appropriate class in the elective section on your pre-registration sheet
