FLAMENCO  DANCE  WORKSHOP  Channel  your  inner  gypsy!  Coiling  wrists,  fluid  arms  and  percussive  footwork  are  hallmarks  of  flamenco  dance—  a  mesmerizing,  soul  enriching  art  form  that  complements  the  beautiful  melodies  and  intricate  rhythms  of  flamenco  music.  Find  your  passion  for  flamenco  and  join  flamenco  dancer  Maria  Osende  for  a  fun  and  relaxed  introduction  to  flamenco  dance.  For  men  and  women,  all  ages  welcome  (small  children  must  be  accompanied  by  an  adult).  No  experience  or  partner  required.  If  possible  wear  shoes  with  a  low,  sturdy  heel.  Flamenco-­‐inspired  outfits  are  always  welcome  and  encouraged.

FLAMENCO  DANCE  FOR  FAMILIES  Our  family  dance  workshop  is  open  to  parents,  kids,  guardians  and  extended  family.  Adults  and  kids  are  encouraged  to  wear  flamenco-­‐inspired  clothing:  flowers,  skirts,  flamenco-­‐like  shoes  (low  sturdy  heels,  boots  or  pumps).  Otherwise,  you  can  simply  come  in  with  your    regular  clothes  and  shoes.    Instructor:  Megan  “La  Azulita”  Matheson  Hamilton.    Duration:  1  hour  (11-­‐12pm)  What  to  expect:  a  fun  an  interactive  introduction  to  flamenco  dance.    Cost:  $8  adults,  $5  kids.  $15  family  (up  to  5  family  members).    Free  for  children  under  6  under  adult  supervision    Registration  required  by  phone  902  492-­‐8878  or  online:  www.flamencofestival.ca
