02 Exchange and Cooperative Project with Russia
To raise the status of Busan, the origin and aim of the Eurasia Initiative, BFIC invited Rasoncontrans representatives,
belonging to a business entity of the Rajin-Hassan Project, and held a briefing session about the signing of an MOU and
the Rajin-Hassan Project for the improvement of economic exchanges in 2015. To activate economic exchanges between
Busan and the Russian Far-East, BFIC dispatched a Busan-Eurasia Cooperative team to the Russian Far-East (Hassan,
Vladivostok) and held the 5th Busan-Russian Far-East Economic Forum, attended by economists and public officials from
Busan and the Russian Far-East(Hassan, Vladivostok).
To help enhance career development and prospects for university students in Russia and to train the professional manpower
which will shape cooperative relations between Korea and Russia in the future, BFIC set up a Korea-Russia Cooperative
Intern Program and Russia New Cooperative Business Experts Training Course. Moreover, through a Busan-Vladivostok
student exchange and exchanges with Korean Russians in the Maritime Territory, BFIC has contributed to improving
friendship between the young in the two areas and to global manpower training there. At the end of the year, BFIC held a
Busan-Russia Friendship Night encouraging friendship and harmony between members of the Busan and Russian parties.
