Cover Letter Portfolio CVTRANSCRIPT
September 4, 2015
Good Afternoon,
After seeing your recent ad placement, I am pleased to forward my CV and Portfolio to you, for your consideration.
While most of my day-to-day experience is with AutoCad (including 2015) I have experience with the following: • MSOffice (all suites) • Sketchup (version 7). I use this for initial perspective set-ups, and
usually draw the client presentation by hand, with more detail and shade-and-shadow. I have found most clients find the sketchup rendering a bit difficult to register.
• 3-D Rendering programs, such as 3DStudio. I used to use 3DStudio quite regularly, but the last few years I have been mainly overseeing progress renderings (for client presentations) by others much more proficient.
• Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Illustrator
And my experience and responsibilities on all of the projects illustrated in my portfolio, from the private Frederick Douglass Museum, to the interiors for various hospitality, retail, banking, and restaurant venues, has been consistently from initial client meeting through final construction sign-off. All aspects are either completely or jointly overseen by me, from initial schematics, to fabric and equipment specification or custom design, custom furniture and lighting fixture design and selection, staff production and contract documentation, shop production inspections and installation oversight. There is almost no aspect of any project that I don’t either direct or assist in it’s successful completion, from early schematic design, to contract documentation and to completion of contract administration.
In terms of salary, I am currently at $94K, with the customary health and insurance benefits.
Again, thanks for your time and attention, and I look forward to talking with you very soon.
Very truly yours,
Brian Lewis 917.553.1035
