CAP AND GOWN DELIVERY

Caps and gowns from previous years are not permitted.  

Caps & Gowns will be delivered on Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th (5:00-8:00). They will be located in the Old Gym for pick up after completion of your Senior Boards.

REMINDER: If you have not ordered your cap and gown, go to http://www.herffatlanta.com/. All orders and payments must be paid through the website link.

REMAINING SENIOR PROJECT DATES

Tuesday, 4/21: All conflicts must be resolved with Mr. Coker.

Wednesday, 4/22: All Portfolios are sent to Senior Project Judges.

Saturday, 4/25: Senior Project Workshop in Academic Labfrom 8am-12pm.

Monday, 4/27 & Check your assigned Room for Tuesday, 4/28: location, technology, avail. setup.

From 3:30 – 3:50, each day.

Wednesday, 4/29 & SENIOR

CREDITS EARNED ONLINE

All students who are Joint Enrolled, Dual Enrolled or taking online classes (ex. GAVS/BYU) for high school credit: All Official Transcripts should be sent to Etowah High

School: Attention Dana Dotson. All Official Transcripts must be received by Tues, May

19th.

Students in APEX courses must complete coursework and submit paperwork by Wednesday, May 20th.

ATTENDANCE APPEALS

Attendance Appeals are automatically generated.

Students will be notified of the time(s) and dates of make up hours which they must serve in order to be awarded credit.

Students must have the appropriate 23 credits (posted to the transcript) in order to participate in graduation ceremony.

SENIOR FINAL EXAMS

Students must leave campus unless they are under the direct supervision of a teacher/administrator.

Don’t forget to turn in your textbooks!

LOCKER CLEANOUT AND TEXTBOOK RETURN

Bookroom hours for senior book return: Friday, May 15th 3:15-3:45 Monday, May 18th 2:00-2:30 Tuesday, May 19th 10:15-10:45 Wednesday, May 20th 9:15-9:45

All Lockers must be cleaned out and all textbooks returned by Wednesday, May 20th at 12:00pm. Failure to comply will result in a $5 Locker Cleanout debt.

Remember: Debt= U R not WALKING!

SENIOR BREAKFAST/SLIDESHOW

May 26th 8:30am Senior Breakfast in EHS Cafeteria.

Menu includes: eggs, bacon, pork & smoked sausage,

tater tots, biscuits, cookies, strawberries & orange juice

To be followed by:

Senior slideshow in the auditorium

Mandatory graduation practice in the New Gym.

GRADUATION PRACTICES

May 26th –8:30am Senior Breakfast in EHS Cafeteria.

End of Year Slideshow

Grad Practice

After Senior Breakfast, seniors will report to the New Gym for practice. Students will be cleared to participate in graduation exercises or be advised of any outstanding debts or obligations.

May 27th - 9:00am Graduation Practice in the New Gym.

May 29th - 8:30am Graduation Practice at First Baptist Church of Woodstock (FBCW)

GRADUATION PRACTICE GUIDELINES

All school rules apply to graduation practice and graduation exercises.

Casual (modest) dress is acceptable. (NO halter tops, short shorts/skirts, swimsuits, offensive t-shirts etc.) Students who are not appropriately dressed will be sent home.

In order to participate in graduation exercises on Saturday, May 30th, graduates must attend EACH practice session in its entirety.

Seniors are not allowed to enter the school building without permission after practices have concluded.

OUTSTANDING DEBTS & OBLIGATIONS

• All debts, obligations, detentions and work back should be cleared by Wednesday, May 20th at 12:00pm.

• Debts need to be paid to Michelle Stephens in the front office.

GRADUATION 2015

The Etowah High School Graduation Ceremony will be Saturday, May 30th at 9:00 am. Graduates are required to be there at 7:30 am.

Graduation attire:

Male: White collared shirts, dark dress pants, dark dress socks, dark dress shoes*.

Female: Dresses (no longer than the graduation gown), or dark pants, and dark dress shoes*.

*Athletic shoes are not considered dress shoes.

Do NOT paint, glitter, or draw on graduation caps.

Only students who are dressed appropriately will participate in the ceremony.

POST GRADUATION

RENTAL GOWN RETURN & DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION

Turn in your gown at Etowah High School, New Gym ticket booth during the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday, June 1st.

When your gown is received, you will be given your diploma. If someone other than you or your parent will be returning your rental gown, email Dr. Ruiz ([email protected]) informing her of who you designate to pick up your diploma. They must provide a photo ID.

There will be a $200 fee for any gown that is damaged or not returned. Your diploma will be held until payment is made or gown is returned.

NO RETURNED GOWN = NO DIPLOMA
