OUR OBJECTIVES
One of our main business objectives is to help Australian Caravan/Camper owners earn extra money for their families by hiring out their Caravan/Camper when they are just sitting around collecting dust, wasting space and not being used at all (which is around 80% to 90% of privately owned Caravans/Campers!)

We work very hard to ensure that Caravan/Camper owners feel 100% confident, reassured and safe about the process that involves their beautiful mobile home being hired out by ‘anyone’ and taken anywhere across Australia.
Many thanks for your enquiry about becoming a potential Hire partner and joining our fabulous business that is making many Aussie Caravan/Camper owners A LOT of extra money all year round. A number of our Hire partners have even purchased brand new Caravans or Campers and are using them as mobile investment properties!! There really is no easier/low risk way to make some extra money than hiring out your Caravan/Camper when you are not using it!! Please read the following information to see how you can get started with us today.

WHY DO HIRERS PAY A BOND?
The $1000 bond that hirers pay upfront will cover the insurance excess on any possible insurance claim that would need to be made so the Caravan/Camper owners would be given the bond if any claim ever had to be made meaning that Caravan/Camper owners would never be out of pocket if this unfortunate scenario was ever to occur. The Bond also covers the cost of any minor repairs resulting from Hire outs. We also have strict ‘cleaning inside and outside’ policies in our terms and conditions that state that the Hirers MUST ensure that the Caravans/Campers are cleaned properly inside and outside before being returned otherwise they will forfeit portions of their bond for various non-‐cleaning compliance.
SECURITY MEASURES TAKEN FOR EACH HIRER PRIOR TO THE CARAVAN/CAMPER BEING HIRED OUT Before a Caravan/Camper is hired out to anyone, the following security measures are taken to ensure the credibility of the Hirer.
We require from each driver/s: § Copies of Drivers License § Copies of the towing vehicle comprehensive
insurance policy § Copies of the Hirers credit card/Medicare details § Photos of Towing vehicle tow hitch set up
We also do: § Online vehicle registration checks
AND for added peace of mind: § NO driver under the age of 25 is permitted to tow
any of our Caravans/Campers.

QUALITY OF OUR HIRERS
The quality of our hirers has always been of the highest standard. These people are usually trying before they buy, have owned Caravans/Campers before but have either sold up and looking for another model to upgrade to, or downsize from a family van to one suitable for a couple.
So it is certainly worth mentioning to you that we attract a ‘standard’ of people that can:
§ Afford to pay around $100 to $120 per day to hire a Caravan/Camper
§ Pay the required $1000
bond up front
§ Provide suitably rated towing vehicles

We pride ourselves on our customer service and our number one priority is always YOU! We want to make your experiences with us, and our hirers as streamlined and stress free as possible. So here is what we do for you:
1. Upon payment of a $50 joining fee we list and promote your Caravan/Camper online on a number of social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and of course our own website.
2. We take care of all public booking enquiries,
handle payments, bonds, money transfers to owners etc.
3. We provide Caravan/Camper owners with
Portable Electric Brake units to either purchase themselves or to borrow from us to hire out to hirers etc. (You will find more information regarding PEB units later in this information pack).

4. We collect copies of driver’s licenses, Medicare
cards and copies of towing vehicle details and comprehensive insurance policy details and also complete vehicle registration checks to ensure validity.
5. We handle all paperwork and contracts and keep
in very close contact with all Caravan/Camper owners on a regular basis about all enquiries and potential bookings etc.
6. We do absolutely everything possible to help
Caravan Owners feel safe and happy about hiring out their Caravans or Camper Trailers.

WHAT CARAVAN/CAMPER OWNERS ARE REQUIRED TO DO FOR CARAVAN AND CAMPING HIRE....
In order for us to get your Caravan/Camper listed and ready for people to view online for potential bookings, we need you to do the following: 1. Simply provide us with all of the required details
below and photos of your Caravan/Camper so we can create a professional and thorough listing of your Caravan/Camper (a sample is provided on the following page):
§ Your name § Your location and address § Your mobile phone number § Make of your Caravan/Camper § Model of your Caravan/Camper § Year of your Caravan/Camper § Width of your Caravan/Camper in feet § Length of your Caravan/Camper in feet § Tare Mass & ATM weights of
Caravan/Camper in kgs. § Type of Towing Plug (e.g. 7 or 12 pin flat) § Number of berth of your Caravan/Camper § The suggested nightly hire charge for your
Caravan/Camper (We can advise you) § Fully Enclosed Annex available to Hire?

§ Email us 8 to 10 good quality internal and external photos of your Caravan/Camper
2. Ensure your Caravans/Campers are well
presented and readily available for potential hirers to view if required.
3. Supply virtually all home away from home
equipment to be available as part of the hire packages. (Please note: Hirers are required to provide their own bedding, linen, food and personal items)

4. Provide us with your BSB and Account details so
all Hire Income can be transferred into your accounts on the 2nd day of each Hire period.
5. ALL Caravan/Campers owners are asked to assist
with promoting and advertising of their Hire units being available for Hire in whichever state/area they are located. By this we mean share any ads that we post about your Hire units on Facebook etc, talk about it with others and raise the awareness of how Caravan and Camping Hire is helping Aussie families both Hirers and Hire Partners
6. We require the Caravan/Camper owners to be
the ones to meet and greet the hirers and show them how to set up, operate and pack down things to do with their own Hire units. We have Hire units all over Australia listed with us so we are unable to provide the type of service.
7. We ask Hire partners to prepare a ‘Set up and
Pack Down’ manual and equipment inventory to be left inside your Hire Units for Hirers to refer to while away (We can provide sample copies to adapt to suit your own Caravans/Campers)
8. We always arrange Hirer pick up and drop off
times that are suitable/agreeable with the owners.
9. Post an Ad of Gumtree for your Hire Unit. 70 to
80% of our bookings come from Gumtree so this is a powerful tool. (We will provide you with the exact content to include in your Gumtree Ad)
10. If you decide to come onboard please advise us
ASAP if your Hire unit be available over the Sept, Xmas, Jan and Easter holiday periods because they are the most popular booking times. Please also let us know when you will be using your Caravans/Campers as well for your own holidays
We do all of the above ourselves with our own 2 personally owned caravans, so we cannot advocate it enough and how easy it is to earn a little extra money on the side.

INSURANCE DETAILS FOR YOUR CARAVAN/CAMPER
Both our personal caravans are insured with CIL Insurance. We are not paid for endorsements or commissions in anyway by CIL; we use them simply because they are the ONLY Caravan/Camper insurer that allows you to add a ‘HIRE OUT’ option to your insurance policy. Your insurance is billed per month or annually, and is set up on a Pro-‐Rata basis, which means your insurance is only increased for the time it is hired out. For example, if your van is worth about $35,000 your normal monthly premium is around $50. If you hired out your Caravan/Camper for every single day in a month (which is highly unlikely except over Xmas/New Year) the monthly premium can only go up to a maximum of about $180 per month regardless of the value of the Caravan/Camper. That would equate to being around $4 to $5 per day increase in insurance costs but remember you would be earning around $100 per day in Hire income. So if you hired out your Caravan/Camper for a month, which could earn you around $2000 to $2500, you would only pay a maximum of $180 for insurance cover for that entire one month.
All you need to do is:
1. Ring and have your Caravan/Camper insured with CIL and inform them that you will be hiring out your Caravan/Camper from time to time.
2. Simply ring CIL up when the Caravan/Camper is being hired out. (Activate ‘Hire Out’ policy)
3. Ring CIL back when the Caravan/Camper has come back. (Deactivate ‘Hire Out’ policy)
4. You can even email them the Policy No., Make, Model and Year, your personal details and let them know of the hire out start date. They can backdate the time it started if you happen to have forgotten on the day.
5. You can’t future date it though with the return date, but you can backdate it if you happen to forget to cancel it the day it was returned. So you will only be charged for the actual period of time the Caravan/Camper was out on hire.

Caravan and Camping Hire' is a family owned and run business that operates to help Aussie Caravan/Camper owners not to mislead them in anyway. Ultimately, we want you to be able to make the same easy money that all our other listed private Caravan/Camper owners do all year round. Our business is your business.
Many thanks for taking the time to read through all of this information. Please let us know if you would like to view our legally ratified Owner/Agent Agreement and Hire Agreement that the Hirers are required to sign off on before they can tow any Caravans or Camper trailers away.

PORTABLE ELECTRIC BRAKE UNITS (PEBs)
We also sell/hire out our own custom designed Portable Electric Brake Units so that every single caravan/camper that is hired out is towed legally by using portable electric brake units if the towing vehicle is not fitted with any form of hardwired electric braking system.
Some Caravan Owners who have joined our business have also purchased their own portable electric brake units from us. The units only cost $300 and they are hired out for $100 per caravan/camper hire so after 3 hire outs the caravan/camper owners start earning even more money for themselves. We can also loan you a PEB but the $100 hire fee then comes back to us

FEES & COMMISSION Including the one off $50 sign up fee, our other fees start from just 10% of the total hire amount that you earn from each hire out. The rest is all yours!! So if you earn $700 we only take $70 leaving you with $630 for doing not very much at all!
N.B -‐ From Feb 1st 2015 our fees/commission will be changing to the following structure:
Up to 14 Day Bookings -‐ 15% 15 to 28 Day Bookings -‐ 12.5% 29 Day plus Bookings -‐ 10%
