• Ford began production in Kentucky in 1913, assembling Model T vehicles in a shop at 931 South Third Street known as a “branch agency”

• The Louisville manufacturing operations moved to a new facility at Third Street and Eastern Parkway in 1916, producing up to 70 vehicles a day on an automotive assembly line

• Ford’s Louisville manufacturing operations in 1925 moved into a new 350,000-s.f. facility on the banks of the Ohio River at 1400 South Western Parkway

• Louisville Assembly Plant opened on Fern Valley Road in 1955 to produce both cars and trucks

• Kentucky Truck Plant opened in 1969

• 1987, Louisville Assembly $260 million expansion for Bronco II

• 1990, the first Ford Explorer

• 2009, Expedition and Navigator move to KTP

• 2011, the new Ford Escape with $631 million investment

• 2014, the Lincoln MKC is announced for Louisville Assembly Plant
